I awoke to 11 messages from eBay telling me that USPS had dropped off my order of 11 Christmas ornaments at 10:15 last night. Of course that didn't seem logical, of course they have to be getting their info from USPS, and of course my items were delivered with my regular mail today at my usual 2pm mail time. But still my mind thinks, "it's holiday time, could they have really made a drop at 10 at night?" "if they made a drop, did the low life prowler types that come into our nice neighborhood every night checking car door handles hoping someone forgot to lock up see them and pick my package up?" I don't know if this is usual because I don't buy a lot, but still nothing like "alarming" me, even though I had a pretty good handle as to what was really going on.

I think the tracking emails are messed up. I got one this morning that said something I order was delivered at 7:55 am PST (it wasn't). It came with my regular mail in the afternoon.
I also got a couple emails confirming my pickup had been made. The pickups in question had been made days ago.
Guess it's a USPS problem.

Been having discussions with our PO because they've started scanning items as delivered at the PO, before the driver does his/her final sort. Not acceptible, but we have little leverage, other than complaints.
Of course eBay claims we are responsible for this behavior, but we all know we have little control.

Doesn't the above practice make a mockery of the GPS location tracking system ?
Is USPS agreeable to paying out insurance claims for mail articles scanned as delivered within the post office & subsequently claimed as not received by the recipient ?
