Ever since eBay started using authenticators for jewelry i have been losing sales because they keep telling me that the hallmarks do not meet the brand standards. All my pieces comes with purchase and service receipts directly from the brand and are verified by the brand themselves. But eBay so called authenticators feel they are not authentic. On top of that i have learned that it is now a defect on my account.
Is anyone else experiencing these problems with eBay authenticate for Jewelry?

Hi
Happy New year.
I have read a few threads here about the authenticity for fine jewelry hasn't been the best. There was a poster here several months ago claiming it was faulty. He had been a certified jeweler for over 30 years, with a background in geology and gemology. He had a diamond ring authenticated and it was deemed "not." My take on this issue is the people who were hired to do these authentications may not be as seasoned or knowledgeable as they would like to think they are.
I must give you kudos, you are a brave soul for selling your very high end jewelry here on this platform. With all the horror stories we read about fake returns, not as described, etc. it would certainly detour me. I'm not sure if you could have the item re-authenticated. Others here may know more.
Hope you had a great holiday and look forward to the New Year.

What happens when EBay can’t confirm authenticity?? I know my purse is authentic.
What can you do? Now I have lost a sell.
