I'm on usps.com trying to find the cost for a package. I am entering the weight in and also the from-zip to the to-zip but it's only giving me choices on usps boxes and I won't be using any of their boxes, I'd be using an ebay branded poly bag.
This is the only choices it is giving me: https://postcalc.usps.com/Calculator/MailServices?country=0&ccode=US&oz=08886&omil=False&dz=02135&dm...
What am I missing here? How can I get an estimate without a usps box?

The second option:
Priority Mail 2-Dayâ„¢
doesn't specific how it's packaged......so, since it is 2.5#, that's what you would use, On a previous page, you could choose ground transportation, but that seems to give the same price for retail ground........

It's giving you regular priority (any box or mailer will work). Flat rate pricing and media rates....you only have to use USPS priority supplies if you purchase flate rate or regional rate boxes. Priority mail 2 day is the second choice they give you there and any box will work 🙂

Oh, I see now. Thank you to both, you and dhbooks. I get it now. I am surprised, however, that's it's actually cheaper to use a regioinal A box then a poly bag.

Only if the polybagged item weighs more than 2 pounds.
