Good morning, everyone.
So on Friday before I left work, I set out two packages to be shipped, scheduled a USPS PickUp for Saturday, and went home, got to work this morning, go to check my trackings so I can leave feedback, and there's nothing uploaded for shipping.
Go down to reception, and alas, there are the two packages that were supposed to ship! So I, obviously frustrated since you can only do next-day pickup scheduling if you want it free, and this might effect my tracking upload %, go to the USPS website to check, and the pickup that I have the SCAN SHEET PRINTED OUT FOR, poof, gone, nothing.
Anyone else have or having this problem with USPS scheduled pickup? I can't drive to the Post Officer for various reasons, and so I have to rely on scheduled pickup during their morning route to get things shipped out.

No never had it happen
I know you need to schedule by the night before for pick up , but if your work gets daily mail can't you just leave them at reception for them to just pick up for you today since you can't drive to the PO?
I would be calling USPS
Also when you schedule a pick up do you get the confirmtion email?
with each nightly pickup I schedule comes a confirmation email from USPS.
If you have one you should have that on hand when you call them also.
That stinks
Good luck

Make sure that you call USPS and complain.
I've had that happen once (brand spanking new sub on our route that day).
Carrier failed to pick up on a Saturday. Packages were still sitting in the bin when I got to the office on Monday ... I called my Local PO at 6AM Monday Morning ... and they sent someone to come get the packages within an hour.

Just another flaw in eBays "guaranteed Delivery" program. This Place is a zoo. Good Luck to you.

I've been calling every 5 minutes but I keep getting the busy signal, and all the other P.O.'s around town won't talk to me and just keep giving me the number for the one that is giving me the busy signal.
I rescheduled for tomorrow, which should be fine since the weekend doesn't count towards my ratings, but still, I've never once had a failed pickup, every. Most of my shipments get sent out friday afternoon to be picked up saturday morning, so I don't see why they would mess it up this time.
It's already at reception, I'm about to go down and see if I can't catch them, they don't come un unless I schedule a pickup.

Ok I thought since it was a business you would get daily mail delivery & they could just take them.
Did you look up your post office number, possible they gave you the wrong one?

Pardon the obvious question, but does your workplace even have a Saturday delivery? Is your business open on Saturdays? Possibly the carrier assumes that he or she can't get in on the weekend?

They won't talk to me because they don't serve the address I'm at, and they keep giving me the number for the one that does, which was the first one I called.
Still getting a busy signal everytime.
I've never had a failed saturday pickup. We are open on saturdays. This is a first and I know errors happen but it's just frustrating that I can't get a hold of the P.O. to find out why it was never picked up.

"Still getting a busy signal everytime."
The Post Office here probably hasn't picked up the phone in 2 years. They give out
the number knowing no one will pick up the phone. All you get is a message
saying the mailbox is full.
Service has gone downhill. I get erractic pick up and delivery times. Carriers
tell me managers bounce them all over to cover other routes. Anyone who depends
on the post office for their main carrier maybe in for a hurt.
It is not the carriers, it's the management.

The city post office never answers the phone.
Answer : May be due to budgetary constraints that prevent hiring more staff.
And its a large one! If you go in, you need to wait on line for ages and they are often rude.
Answer: Rudeness may be seen to help minimize customer overcrowding.

If you have to fight to get your packages mailed, the Post Office will end up with
more budgetary constraints. Considering both UPS and FedEx's ever escalating rates,
the post office should be cleaning up in package delivery (which would increase revenue)
but if the P.O. becomes more difficult to deal with, that will be an opportunity blown.

It's already very difficult to get postal issues successfully addressed.

From what I hear, from Postal Employees, the PO just can not find good help. Was told that they hire new people and then they quit after two-weeks because the work is "too hard!" Managers also tell me that they often have newbies who are the fill-ins for regular carriers that take days off and these fill-ins often are "wonderful." But if yer the manager and struggling to hire enough people, what are you gunna do? Fire a person when they mess up or coach them up & hope for the best?
Oh and I had an AZN delivery scheduled for a Sunday. USPS tracking says, "Rescheduled, no one at home!" at a time when I was sitting in LR next to front door watching football! LOL! Local manager says, "Oh, those weekend deliveries are the AZN crew and their outta a different PO and I have no control over them!" LOL!

I scheduled a pick up the day before for 3 packages and it was scheduled, confirmation by email. My regular carrier who was off today knows how to read but this alternate could somehow not see 3 bulky packages filling the mailbox which had "outgoing written on each one plus a prominent note to take all packages marked "outgoing". This on a Saturday and used the 1/4" of space to put letters on top of them. So I drove to 2 post offices and they were closed...one minute after closing time, 7 pm, not a soul in the whole building and lobby doors locked for the night. I think there is no mail on Monday but I did schedule another pickup and it was accepted for Columbus day which I believe is one of their numerous holidays but maybe not. I am going to the main post office tomorrow to see if anyone is there. Some of these people are dumb as dirt and our livelihood depends on them!!! I am going to get a few lates because of that idiot.
