I can't seem to find any info on whether or not parcel select ground qualifies for home pickup?

That option for parcel select is blanked out when you schedule a pick-up unless you have one other qualifying package such as a 1st class or Priority.

I've been known to pack up a package to send to my mother-in-law to have a qualifying package for carrier pick up. Last time it was a jar of homemade jam sent Priority.
I've sent a couple small packages with a cute trinket in a bubble mailer (1st class) to the granddaughters, too. They get so tickled to get something in the mail.
Still saved me a ton compared to paying a higher postage rate for the ebay package.

A while back the USPS website had a glitch where First Class wasn't showing on the Schedule a Pickup form. EBay said the fix was to use the Return category. I've been doing that ever since when I just have Media Mail to go out. Of course my regular mailman is a good guy and would pick stuff up without a request, but I do it anyway in case the blind substitute is working because my guy seems to vary his day off so I can never be sure who is picking up, especially on Sat. and Mon.

Very interesting way to scam the USPS --- just another reason why rates are going up for everyone ...
