Hello,
I am experiencing as a seller and and a buyer that the post office is not updating the tracking info, mostly on PWE shipping. Last week I contacted a seller because the tracking info never was updated from the time they received it till the day I sent the message, 2 weeks later. But when he said he shipped it I checked my cards and it was there. I have 4 of the same sportscard so had to backtrack. Now as a seller I have a buyer who says he hasn't received his sportscard (shipped in pwe). Tracking info shows it was received 100 miles away in Las Vegas on March 17th and today is the 24th but nothing more on tracking. The buyer has put in a case that he didn't receive it and Ebay will refund my money even though he probably has the card or will receive it. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? How can a seller protect themselves from those that "take" your items without paying because the post office is too slow to update?

Tracking is not reliable for the items sent using this service. They do not use USPS tracking numbers. They don't show an acceptance scan either and eBay expects you to refund if a buyer files a claim for item not received.
Sometimes you can track better using this link:

Ebay's stance:
From time to time, eBay standard envelope shipments unfortunately may not track all the way through delivery to your buyer. If your buyer opens an “Item Not Received” request, please work with them to issue a refund in a timely manner. In these cases, you may also consider raising a claim to recover your lost funds.

Thank you for your reply as it explains the problem. Will refund the buyer in a day or 2 to see if it shows up and thanks for the info on filing a claim.

I’m having the same issue as a buyer and seller, sometime I have to go to the post office to pick up my item but it wouldn’t go thru their machine. Sometime seller sell as standard envelopes in bubble mailer and I end up payer more for shipping. Sometime the item get lost for me which sucks.
