Is it me or is it almost impossible to get a US Rep when calling support.  The third party people I get sent to are completely USELESS!!

What do you need help with? The people on these boards, other buyers and sellers, usually are far more knowing than CS.

No, it's not just you.  Ebay has outsourced their CS to halfway around the world, and in most cases they're horribly inadequate.  It's been this way for years now.  You'll find more help on here, and people who are up to date on ebay policy.

They are pretty bad and just stick to a script. They don't seem to be able to answer anything on their own. Shocker!

Ask your question here. There are mentors on here that are a big help!

Thanks for all the responses.  Basically I mixed up some tracking information between items.  I put the tracking backwards.  One of the items shipped so fast and was delivered so It froze the tracking.

I couldn't adjust it anymore since the item was delivered.  So for both items now it says under

"tracking uploaded on time and validated".  That both items are uploaded late.

This brought my seller level down from top rated to above standard sitting at 92.8%. Which is a bummer for me because I have been busting my tail dialing in this store.  Especially with USPS and UPS. It's been fun.

Both Items have been delivered.  I called in monday to see about starting an appeal for these items.  The gentleman on monday said he would open an internal appeal with the defect team.  He said to call back 24 - 48 to see if they had made a decision and we would go from there.

I came to the realization that the other item that was delivered does not have any tracking info.  If the appeal team looks at it and doesn't see any tracking info aren't they going to deny the appeal ?  I called back yesterday and today to explain this and to see If I could send that to ebay to add to the appeal.

The guy yesterday was a complete dick.  Sarcastically laughing and literally hung up on me when I told him he was not listening to what I was saying.  The one (supervisor) I spoke with today didn't get it either.  He said the case still wasn't closed and he can't do anything until it is.  I also have no way to see when this case is closed besides calling back.

So looks like I'll wait until next week but wow.  FEE bay makes it EXTREMELY difficult if you make even the smallest mistake.

If I am reading your scenario right, just put the 'other' tracking number on the product that does not have a tracking number (since you said they were both delivered) if you can

OR

Maybe you can put the right tracking number on the right order....and when you try to put the other number on the order that does not have one, you can then communicate with the correct tracking number with ebay chat/support showing it has been delivered.....

I may be wrong, but that should help

Try contacting eBay via social media:

https://x.com/askebay

https://www.facebook.com/ebay

https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/

The folks that respond to direct messages on social media seem to be more capable and have more authority to deal with complex issues compared to the call center, at least according to users that have dealt with both. No idea if they can help with your tracking issues, though.

That shouldn't have affected your "Tracking uploaded on time and validated" metric, I don't think, unless you truly entered the tracking numbers after your handling time.

Just to make sure, how did you contact eBay?  If you found a phone number and called it, you may very likely have been talking to scammers instead of eBay.  I agree with @eburtonlab  about contacting them via social media, I've always had better results there.

So sorry this happened to you. I've uploaded the wrong tracking on shipments in the past. It happens so don't beat yourself up about it.

As eburtonlab suggested, reach out to the reps on the social media sites. They are based here in the U.S. and pretty much get back to you right away and are way more knowledgeable.

Hopefully they can remove at least one of the defects. Not sure if they will remove the one without tracking. Good luck to you though!

Well that was an epic Fail!  **bleep** Ebay.  For about a month I have been battling this and finally got a hold of someone on FB.  Takes them 2 weeks to tell me they cant help with my mixed up tracking.  Like an honest mistake and they screw me on it.  Not to mention that but send me in circles for support and relaying the same information multiple times.  So **bleep**ED UP!!!!  The rule here is do not make any mistakes on this **bleep** hole.   You will not be rewarded.  Who the hell is saying there customer service is good ?!  Like dam.  To top it off they start the call with thanks for your 16 years.   Go **bleep** yourself is what I have to say.  Jesus.  What a joke!

Go to this page:

https://www.ebay.com/usr/renegademodelrailroading?uc=profile

On the top right click edit profile.

Then click the pencil icon over your profile image on the left. Upload a photo.

Save changes using the blue button on the right.

As for the tracking issue, eBay gives a tolerance for mistakes, but it can be difficult when you mess up more than 1 order and your sales numbers are low enough that it has a bigger impact.

The "tracking uploaded on time and validated" rating is only 3 mos long, so the hits will drop off before you know it. You might see even quicker improvement if your sales numbers increase with holidays approaching.

As of right now you're still TRS which means you won't see an impact until the Nov 20th evaluation.

If you have any interest in avoiding the errors that can come with manually uploading tracking, I suggest purchasing your labels through eBay and they will add tracking automatically. You can either print your labels, or use the QR code option, bringing the code to the post office to scan and print your labels @renegademodelrailroading .
