For the past 3 days, I have been having issues trying to upload photos for listings, and from what I've gleened, this appears to be a recurring issue for ebay users. When I upload a photo, it initially looks fine, but as I continue with the listing, the photo format seems to change or alter, and suddenly my photos appear with the tops and bottoms cut off, as if they are now too large to fit into the space provided. I have alerted ebay via chatting with the "expert seller" who, after a couple exchanges, supposedly referred my problem to their tech team. At first this issue wouldn't allow me to complete a listing, but as of this evening, I was able to complete a listing, but some of the photos do not appear as I intended them to; their tops and bottoms are cut off. I assume this is a temporary thing, but does anyone else have a solution for dealing with it?

Maybe it has something to do with ebay now wanting to have square photos?

I went to a 'new listing' today (about an hour ago).
After I did the search, and I had the list, this one didn't have a picture. It was that generic gif that shows when someone forgets to upload for some reason. I've done it. Late listing. High. Whatever ...
This one had that logo where the pix should be.
I clicked on it because the title was spot on what I was looking for ... and ... the picture came up AFTER I clicked on it. And, so did all the others.
So, yea. Something is going on with the pix's.

For me, my first pic is the worst. I have retaken pics and tried holding the camera the other way. I have given up and hope things sell anyway.

So that IS a THING? That's how it seemed, since my photos would no longer fit the way they had previously! I did not realize that ebay had made an intentional change with that format. Were we made aware of this? How have you changed the way you take your photos now then? Do you just hold the camera further back to fit everything in the frames? Thank you for the alert.
