I've seen people mention this in the past with no mention of solution.
2 days ago I started receiving 2 emails per sale. I have not changed any ebay settings.
One is titled
The other
They're almost identical. I looked in communication preferences and there is no option for "ready to ship" notifications.

It is probably just another ebay glitch. To be safe just make sure the item actually shows as sold in your ebay account and only print and ship from within your account. Fake/ scam emails with links to print, etc. are not uncommon.

Your item has sold - self explanatory
The other
Your sold item is ready to ship - Buyer has paid

That's not it,
First line of Your Item has sold email:
"Congratulations, your item sold and it’s been paid for."
First line of Item is ready to ship email.

The "solution" is to ship the item and ignore the extra message.

Yea, I got one of those double email notifications the other day. Probably just another minor glitch from a company that would rather buy back stock shares than invest in internal tech support to deal with the myriad of minor glitches that perpetually plague the website.

My solution is to just delete both emails.

You're right, it was in fact a glitch. It went away on its own after a week or so. It was a bit annoying to get the notifications especially since one email was an hour later than the other. I'm glad it's gone.

Glad it hear it resolved for you - we never dealt with it, so like most glitches, annoyance for some and others a non-event.
