I have a buyer who is bidding on multiple items that will close more than 48 hours apart. They've asked about delaying shipment (and payment) on the earliest closing auction until they know if they're going to win the later closing items so that shipping can be combined. I don't have a problem with this, but want to make the process as simple as possible for both of us.
I note that in the drop down menu (on the "classic" sellers page – I'm one of the lucky ones who still have it!), one of the action items is to "turn off unpaid item assistant", but what I need to know is, if I select this is it going to turn off the UIA for all of my listings, or only for the one item? A couple of hours searching both these forums and ebays (so called) help pages has not given me a clear answer, so I'm hoping someone here knows with certainty.

It's either on for ALL listings or off for all.
You can turn it off for now, and after the buyer gets all items aid for, turn it back on. No selecting one buyer to turn the UIA off or on for.

I may not have explained my question clearly...
I'm not asking about the sitewide preferences for UIA. I already know that it's an all or nothing setting sitewide. I'm asking about the setting under the individual item sold.
Under the sold item drop down, if I choose "turn off unpaid item assistant), will it turn it off only for that one item, or will it turn it off for all of my listed items?
It's not that I don't trust ebay (actually, I don't, given some of their antics lately), but I've noted that a number of menu items don't work exactly the way they give the impression that they will. Which is why I'm hoping for someone with real-world experience using this can guide me.

Am I understanding correctly that turning off UIA for an individual listing is no longer an option available to Sellers as it was prior to the changed policy? That seems like a problem for Sellers who would appreciate being paid timely when Buyers commit to buying an item/listing yet also are willing to provide additional time ONLY to Buyers who may purchase multiple items from them in order to combine shipping.
