HEllo ebay folks - This is one of those times with selling on ebay that things just don't seem to make sense. I just tried to list a Hustler Magazine T - shirt for sale and got a message that this item was not permitted - do not try to relist... (or close to that). There is nothing sexy or racy at all about the shirt, apart from the word "Hustler", if you look at it that way. The category is just men's cloths, so the block must have keyed off my description, which does contain the words "Hustler Magazine". It's just a T shirt with a simple graphic. Nothing sexy or adult about it, or in any of my pictures. No surprise that there are numerous other Hustler T-shirts for sale in the same clothing category. I don't want to put my account at risk. Any thoughts? Is it really not permitted to sell a totally non-sexy t shirt? Thanks for any comments.

Enforcement of the policy is by AI AKA Bot.
There is no reliable way to get an exception. Relisting could have negative affects on your ability to sell.
Give up, like the rest of us do when we have this problem.
This sort of thing happens on the bigger marketplace sites as well. They also do not handle exceptions.
Welcome to the 21st Century internet.

Thanks for the comment. I suspect you sum it all up accurately, silly as the situation is. Thanks.

This looks to me like the work of a dumb bot just programed to look for key words.
Not a advance AI system that can discern things humanlike.
If ebay is paying a AI provider they need to do a nad return

It's not really "silly". It is just unfortunate.
On the surface, it would seem sensible for eBay to put the "Hustler" filter on just the magazine category, so that items like yours would not get flagged.
But the reality is that eBay has to make these filter side-wide, because unscrupulous sellers have avoided those category-specific filters in the past by intentionally listing in the wrong category.
With 1.5 billion items on the site, eBay is not going to devote resources to manually review listings to determine whether they comply or not. They are going to use automated filters and accept the fact that a few innocent sellers with a few innocent items will be out of luck.
