Trying to close cancel transaction request

Hello - I am looking to end a case that has I have opened a cancel transaction request. I submitted it early last week and the buyer still hasn't paid. The buyer also hasn't said anything since they bought the item. I read somewhere that it can be closed after 5 days, and it has been 5 days and I am not able to close it. Do I need to do something additional, or is it just a waiting game?

I also tried to file an unpaid item, but since I asked for a cancel transaction request, I don't think I can now do that either.

It's 240 clock hours (10 days) from the hour and minute it was started if your buyer neither agrees to nor declines the request, and then you have to go back and manually close the cancel to get your FVF credit.

We have no bahamas today.

What date did you file for the cancellation?  Why did you file for a cancellation on a non paying buyer?  What reason did you check for the reason for the cancellation?

It is not in a seller's best interest to open a cancellation when in fact you are dealing with a non paying buyer.  But yes since you have done this, you are going to have to wait 10 days before it can be closed.

Depending on the reason you checked off, you may get a defect for this too.

I filed it on the 29th. I didn't know there was another option than to cancel it at the time. Thank you for your help and advice.

What reason did you select when you filed the cancellation?  This is important as there wasn't an option to select that had anything to do with non payment, so what did you choose.
