Trying to List for the first time

I'm trying to list and sell my luxury watch but getting a message about a $200 limit? I can't seem to find a means of reaching anyone at Ebay. Everything seems to route back to generic info listed on the site that doesn't really answer anything.

Trying to List for the first time

Every seller has listing limits, both in terms of the total dollar value and the number of items, and $200 sounds about right for a new seller. You can check your listing limits and read about them here:

A luxury watch would be a magnet for scammers, so eBay is protecting you so you can't list it here until you have more experience.

All sellers have listing limits on their accounts and those limits are often more strict for newer sellers. eBay will increase limits over time as a seller generates successful transactions. Reasons surrounding this are generally for the protection of both buyers and sellers.

@dokuneye

Trying to sell a luxury watch as a new seller here, would be a bad idea.

You would be a big target for scammers and there's a good chance you could loose the watch and any payment.

Have a great day.

Absolutely!  The OP should be grateful that Ebay di not allow the listing considering the high odds odds of the seller being scammed out of the watch.

Contact them via facebook. You might want to furnish proof you own the watch like sales receipt. Otherwise at $200 you'll have to sell it one piece at a time.  It's like that for everyone even if you were experienced.  If ebay sees an item way above average being offered or sold they will hold funds.  If a sell is not active,  they will reset their account with limitations.

The selling limit is for your own protection. Do you know the risks of listing a valuable watch as a new seller on ebay? You could get into a lot of problems when a scammer comes along and claims the watch is fake and demands a refund. Make sure your aware if you list it you can lose the item, the money and the shipping and there would be very little you can do about it if that happened. Sell lower value stuff as a new seller. Don't risk it.
