Trying to EDIT > END ITEM but all I get is to RESPOND TO QUESTIONS

I have a buyer who placed the opening bid on an auction item that was listed for 10 days.  She would like me to end the listing.

I replied that I would be happy to.  She replies back with short little messages.  In fact, there are 8 of them.  

When I go to the active listing to EDIT > END ITEM , the only choice I have is to RESPOND TO MESSAGES.  Some of them I hadn't responded (Like when she said "Thank you.").  So I make sure I respond to all messages.  There is still no EDIT in sight.

Do you suppose I need to WAIT for a bit so ebay knows I have responded to each message?

I'd try  shutting down the browser and restarting it............

Is that the same protocol as in this link;

The column is not wide enough so the action drop down is cut off.

Put your mouse on the vertical line separating the actions and photo column. Drag the line to the right to expand the section.

When you make it wide enough you will see the drop down arrow next to the respond action and you will be able to choose other actions.
