Ebay has once again restricted our account.. Here is their new message:
"
This item may not be sold because we are unable to confirm its authenticity."
Please pay special attention to the last lines "unable to confirm its authenticity". It certainly does not mean we are selling counterfeit items, they simply cannot confirm it. Why do they need to confirm it when there has been no complaint on it? Also, we absolutely can confirm its' authenticity had they asked. Instead they have issued a 7 day restriction on our account. I think they must hate the $400,000 that we pay them yearly to sell on their site. I know we are not their biggest Seller by any means but we certainly are not the smallest. Oh and by the way, all three of our stores are Top Rated!!! We do not sell counterfeits!!!
Their "Trust and Safety Team" is out of control and hurting not only my profits and employees but their profits as well. Has anyone else had this team simply on their own authority state an item you are selling is counterfeit and issue a restriction?

Why do they need to confirm it when there has been no complaint on it
Because counterfeits infringe intellectual property whether or not anyone complains.

I would have used the example using "flies". 😉

This is what could be happening (along with you should NEVER relist an item that has been taken down, even if you get it 'ok'd' by a CSR (because Bots don't care).
You don't buy from Authorized Distributors.
You buy from Liquidators.
Liquidators sometimes DO sell fake items as they don't know where they get them from. Sometimes Macy's as 'slow sellers' or 'expired' or 'tired' inventory...other times by an 'out of business' independent that was getting their 'stuff' from China- therefore, fake.
Therefore, you wind up selling 'fake' items as well.

I am a power seller since 2007 and they did the same thing to me with my Fear of God listings, it happened roughly month ago. I contacted support assuring them that I have all the receipts directly from pac sun, they told me to re-list it showing the receipt and it would be fine, well two days ago and they did it again. Honestly I think its Fear of God unjustly flagging ever item on ebay to funnel sales to them directly
