Re: Trading assistant

The Trading Assistant Program has been deprecated.

Too many problems for both consignors and sellers both financially, and legally.

Hire a high school kid and have them work from your account under your direction. Control the inventory and the payments.

Pay the kid a fair wage for his/her time.

Re: Trading assistant

Hard to find other sellers who want to sell your items because EBAY reports sales to IRS.   If I sold "your items" on my account I would get stuck with your income tax liability.

Suggest you create your own EBAY account and find a trusted friend locally who can assist you.   To open an EBAY account you must provide checking account# and social security# (for tax purposes).

@mpadilla1802

You will most likely have trouble finding anyone to sell your things for you.   If someone were to sell your items for you, they would have to have the items in their possession.  They would have to photograph and measure the items, list the items, handle questions from buyers, handle returns, chargebacks, and potential fraud claims.  They would have to ship, probably using their own shipping supplies.  There are fees to take into consideration and the potential for a chargeback from a credit card company can take up to 180 days, which can have a bearing on distributions.  The sales would be applied to the seller's social security number for the 1099 issued at the end of the year (if sales are enough to warrant it).  For all the work and responsibilities involved in selling, most sellers do not want to take on these responsibilities for someone else's stuff and it is not worth whatever you would offer to pay them.

You do not say what kind of items you are wanting to sell.  If it is things like clothing or the like, you will probably do better to sell them yourself.  If it is household or collectibles or that type of things, you might try talking to an estate sale company or auction house in your area to see what they have to say.

Re: Trading assistant

What do you want to sell? Where do you want to sell it to?
Or do you want to buy something?

I need to use translation software to communicate with you, and many times the software will translate wrong. I hope I can get your forgiveness if I have offended you. I didn't mean to offend anyone.

I’m selling collectibles.  But will see about hiring a friend to help me as suggested due to all the complications.  Thanks for replying!
