Trading Assistant wanted in Phoenix 85016

Hi, I’m interested in finding a trading assistant to help sell a lot of items in my home - furniture, art, figurines, electronics, etc.  I want to be pretty hands off about it, so I’d like the person to come over and take the photos, and then take the items as they sell.  I don’t know anything about this type of service so I’m flexible if it’s usually handled differently than that.

Really? the only way to get sellers to get serious about it is if you offered them for free and free shipping. Really!!!

     There have been a lot of postings like yours lately. You would be better off finding a consignment auction house or local estate company to handle the items. Any seller willing to take this on is going to want at least 50% or more of the profits to cover expenses, taxes, risks and effort in handling the items. They are also probably going to hold your funds for awhile to cover any possible returns, damage claims, chargebacks......

What you're looking for will be difficult to find @cashman88 and you'd be better off advertising locally and selling the items outright to a reseller or going to a consignment shop or estate sale manager. Have you used local social media groups to look for an eBay reseller?

There are so many problems with consignment deals from tax implications, to agreeing on a %, to funds being tied up for 6 mo while the dispute window is open, to fraudulent returns, to agreeing on market value of the merchandise and more.

I wouldn't sell consignment for less than 80% of the net profits after eBay fees, shipping supplies, etc due to the work involved. Items would have to be desirable, valuable and relatively quick sellers.

If you want to give direct selling here on eBay a try you can always find help on this board for learning the ropes.
