If I sell an autographed card for $5, I can not use Ebay envelope because it is autographed..(option for ebay envelope is not offered)...so I use Stamps.com for thin mailer and upload tracking # from there..but they say it was uploaded on time but no carrier scan so...my

Something is not adding up or making sense here. Who was/is the carrier, USPS? You have set a processing time of 1 business day after receipt of payment when did you drop the item at the carrier and why is there no carrier scan? Is there still no carrier scan or can you track the package?
You have 234 sales in the last 90 days plus whatever sold prior to that so the one late tracking validation should/would not have dropped your percentage to 93.24%. There is something more happening here.

Tracking uploaded on time and validated is
93.42% And I do not get the highest rating as seller...does not seem fair..
Apparently your mail carrier isn't scanning when they pick up your packages. It's best to take them to the post office have them scan and give you a receipt at the counter.

Carrier is USPS and the cards I send via STAMPS.com are scanned and I add the tracking #. The last on was uploaded on time but no carrier scan. I guess I have to go to PO as per other reply..but that is why I like to do postage at home..Need to talk to carrier..he is a nice guy.

Of the 234 sales..few were not via ebay envelope or padded envelope...i now add the tracking # from Stamps.com to the order..apparently, the last one did not get scanned?? I will keep a close eye on the dashboard from now on...thanks

The bare minimum for any business transaction should be First Class.
For the time involved in selling a $5 item how much profit is there after fees? Buying the item, researching the item, photographing the item, listing the item, shipping the item... A preteen babysitting or mowing lawns has better wages.

Not much profit for sure...but otherwise the cards are sitting in my house collecting dust...few reliable trading sites exist anymore and Beckett members are low in #s now....so i will take any $ I can get and it is a hobby..not making a living for sure..
eBay envelope and Stamps.com are first class mailers..I just did not upload the tracking info into ebay...I have adjusted some of the older ones and added tacking #..will see if it changes the metric...

eBay's definition of "uploaded and validated" is that tracking was uploaded and receives a carrier scan.
This package did not meet the criteria for "uploaded and validated" so eBay did not count it as "uploaded and validated".
While that may be unfortunate, I'm not sure it is "unfair".

And yet..when I go to orders and view there is tracking and notification of delivery..obviously eBay knows about the package, I just did not use eBay postage system and for that I am penalized? Unfair or not, the package arrived and notification is present in the sellers hub.

Yes, you already told us that you uploaded the tracking. But uploading tracking is not is not "uploaded on time and validated".
and notification of delivery
Yes, but having delivery confirmation is not "uploaded on time and validated".
obviously eBay knows about the package
Yes, but knowing about a package is not "uploaded on time and validated".

Your issue has nothing to do with using the eBay postage system or not. It has to do with whether your tracking was "uploaded on time and validated" or not.
the package arrived and notification is present in the sellers hub.
The package arriving is important. Delivery confirmation is important. But those are not the only metrics for Top Rated Status and they are not the same thing as "uploaded on time and validated".

You don't remove this post.
It stays here so that other readers can benefit from the information it contains.

I also use Stamps.com, and have for the last 14 years because of the downtime and unreliability of eBay's shipping/labeling service. With Stamps, I have never had a problem like the one you are having, so there must be something else going on. Most likely, it's not Stamps or eBay -- possibly some incompetence at the USPS (duh...)
Are you aware that Stamps.com can automatically back-post your tracking number right into its slot at eBay so that you don't have to manually upload it? Perhaps you are already having Stamps do this. (You can also have it automatically post the buyer + feedback - a real time saver).
Occasionally the letter carrier may be in so much of a hurry at your mailbox, that he forgets to scan in the tracking # at pickup. This has happened to me a few times, but the PO scans it that evening unless it goes to the regional center, where there can be a backup to cause a validation problem for you. That's when your s/h time might be a factor in getting the scan posted in time. So make sure that you have a couple days of s/h time to give the PO the chance to get the scan done.
If this affects your TRS status you may have had, keep in mind that in the end a TRS status is not that big a deal for a lot of sellers. When I lost mine due to no tracking # on letter-sized sales, it didn't adversely affect my sales at all. About 15 years ago I took down from my office wall that cheesy TRS certificate eBay sent to me.
You say that you enjoy talking to your letter carrier. You might want to let him know how important it is that he scans your outgoing mail every time, and that any substitute carrier is told the same thing. Until then, I agree with @ebooksdiva: Until the carrier scans every time at pickup, it is best to take it to your PO and have it scanned there and give you a receipt. Your round-trip mileage is a deductible expense, and is currently quite generous because of being substantially raised in June.
As much as it applies to your situation, I hope this helps.
Cheers, Duffy

Thanks..appreciate it. Stamps.com does offer a printed receipt for me to place tracking # for the flat envelope. I was not as concerned with the rating as much as the tracking info if the mailer does not arrive.
I think I have resolved the issue now between Stamps.com and my eBay shipping.
Thanks to all who helped..

I have discovered that the tracking # for flat envelopes on your receipt from Stamps.com is not a valid number that is trackable on the USPS website and gets no carrier scan. It usually starts with "0004...". Hence it cannot be validated by eBay. This may be the reason why your tracking and validation metrics at eBay are below 95%. Mine sometimes are as well.
However, eBay does not let that metric drop a seller below an "above average" rating, as many of us sellers use letter or flat for mailing smaller, thin items that don't get a tracking number from the USPS. So entering that number from Stamps.com fills in the tracking box at eBay, but cannot be validated.
