Did you mean:

Tracking shows item was delivered, but buyer says it wasn't.

I sent out the item, and per USPS tracking, it was delivered on Monday June 26. I received a message from Ebay that the buyer reported their item hasn't arrived. Tracking says:

Jun 26, 2023
3:26pm
DELIVERED FRONT DOOR/PORCH

I sent the tracking number and information to the buyer, but she responded: "that package didnot come to this porch not to this house 'im home all day no package i dont play games'"

Do I have an recourse other than issue a refund? USPS makes mistakes all the time and could have delivered it to the wrong address.

The chargeback also goes to eBay and again the tracking number should be supplied.

Again and again.

EBay isn't very helpful, but they lose money on chargebacks too.

Do everything you are told even if you already did it.

and your buyer may also attempt a charge-back on their credit card -- you have very little defense against that, I'm afraid.

Charge back where tracking shows delivery to the address provided by the buyer is covered (supposed to be covered) by eBay "seller protection", so there is some "defense" against that situation.

That really remains to be seen.  With the new and improved process Ebay announced in the Summer Seller Update, it may just help us all.  But you are right, Ebay would have to eat this cost if the Chargeback was ruled for the buyer because the seller is covered under Seller Protection.

In item not received disputes through Paypal or Credit Cards I have won both by uploading tracking into them.

While I have had the same outcome, it is important for ALL sellers to remember that they ARE covered by Seller Protection on Ebay if they have a delivery scan.  So if for any reason you lose the Chargeback, the money should be coming from Ebay, not the seller as you are protected.

Ok, now she's claiming she did not receive it (again).

Buyer’s message: "i did not say it came hear never came to my house"

hopefully it was delivered to someone near them that probably has a similar address number. I have at least 3 near me.

I had a similar situation where I was the buyer and tracking showed delivered. Luckily, I had an honest person who received the package and took the time to look up my address and drop it off. I have done the same at least twice in the past.

You are allowing this to upset you when it just should not.  If the tracking shows delivered YOU ARE FINE.  Ebay will NOT make you refund the buyer nor do you morally have to.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to have a safe place for their items to be delivered.  Sellers are NOT responsible for that.

Just be nice to the buyer and let them know that they need to contact their carrier to see what happened.  It is the carrier that needs to help the buyer at this point.  Your job is DONE.

I find it interesting that the buyer hasn't filed an INR and is only emailing you.  That is a curious thing.  Seems the buyer may not be operating above board.
