So I sold a computer recently for a buy-it-now price of $199.99 in the Computers/Tablets & Networking>Desktops & All-In-Ones>PC Desktops & All-In-Ones category with no additional paid listing options chosen (at the bottom of the listing creation tool the amount of fees said $0.00) and the listing was never promoted for it's entire existence. I am well under the 250 free listings I get each month and I have the most basic free eBay selling account. For this order in the "View payment details" screen I was charged $27.62 in fees, which is 13.81%. However according to this: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/selling-fees?id=4822 I should have only been charged 12.55% + $0.30 in fees. It seems that I am being charged more in fees than eBay advertises, is there a reason for this I am not seeing? Any help is appreciated!

The difference might be in that eBay charges FVFs on the shipping cost and sales tax paid by the buyer. Use the Order total to figure charges. It sounds about right...

Did you include shipping charged and sales tax collected by eBay in your calculation?

Forgot to mention this, I enabled the "free shipping" option so the buyer did not pay any additional amount in shipping. As for the sales tax, is that part of the fees calculation on eBay?

Shipping was free in this case, but the tax is included as well? That's kinda dumb.

Yeah... eBay has been collecting sales tax for some time now, and charging you FVFs for it. In 'My County, Tennessee', we pay 9 1/4%. The sale to me would have been $199 + $18.41 = $217.41. The fees for that/my order would've been $27.28 + $.30.
My neighbors in Nashville (9 3/4%) would have paid $218.40... netting $27.41 + $.30 ($27.71) in fees.

I am never selling on eBay again!
94.05$ (62$ bid+ 21.97$ shipping + taxes)
then they charge me 14.67$ which is 13.25% commission « including shipping costs ». Why exactly do I pay commission on shipping costs?!! Then they tax the commission!
In the end, I get 69.30. I paid the shipping of 22$ so I get 47$ for a 62$ bid. That ‘s 24% cost! And yes, taxes are crazy here in Canada)
