Boy those high selling numbers during the pandemic are gone gone gone. Just curious though if the huge dropoff I am seeing now is due to the inflation and gas prices or is it due to changes made on the site here. I have noticed my listing impressions and page views keep going down. For a long time I would make sure to list every day because I know that draws in views but that has stopped working over the past two months. During the pandemic I had cut off international sales. I just turned that back on thinking that doing that would make the listing impressions and page views go up but nope. I tried putting my listings on vacation for a few days because that worked in the past but nope. I also tried running a sale through memorial day weekend but even that isn't pumping up views. Any other tricks people do to pump up views that has worked in the past 2 months or is this all just down to people don't have money right now? Please keep comments to increasing page views and being seen again and not about pricing and such. I have been selling on here a long time and am just trying to find out why my old tricks of pumping up views aren't working.

I'm still doing well, but then, I'm also on other sites. Not everyone loves eBay or any site, so I try to be where the most people can see my items. Which kind of means everywhere.
It's tiring, but it works.
Great Moms turn them off first.

I believe it is a combination of all the reasons you listed.

If you have items that customers need & want, then you will get views. Just hang in there. These are strange times.
Good luck!

I tried to type a half dozen different things, but it came back down to the price every time, when there are 15 copies of a record listed who is going to click on the $35 one when there are a whole bunch between $10 and $20, and everything of yours I checked was either like that, or you had the only one available.
Maybe all those tricks were only getting bots to look at the listings and not real people. I l know as a buyer I am never going to click on a listing with a price out of whack with all the others available.

Your photos are incredible by the way. The way most of your listings look in the search is great, but so many people have undercut you by so much that maybe real people just aren't clicking anymore.
About 2 weeks ago I started looking at old listings and realized that I had a lot of them that the market had drifted on hugely since I posted them. Soon as I changed the prices or relaunched them at market appropriate prices they started selling.

Everybody has their own ideas about pricing. If the issue was pricing I would not have gotten the sales I did over the last few years and the years before that. This is a sudden dropoff in views over the last 2 months. I have seen sales dropoffs in the past but not page view dropoffs like this. Also please remember with vinyl you have to compare condition and pressing as well and most people don't play the records before they list them. So the VG+ you buy for cheaper from other sellers could have bumps and skips. I try to avoid that as best I can. You can't just go by title. I have also had some dropoff on other sites but not as much as here. That's why I am looking for specific ideas about pumping up views that work.

Yes. The sales fell off the cliff and then the cliff fell off the cliff into a black hole. It’s not you, it’s eBay.

Overall Prices for most Americans Day/Day used Items
have risen dramatically throughout "Everything we Buy and Need"
so it leaves many without any X-tra cash for anything else!!!
So Yes...I blame it on our Economic Times
Hope things will be Better before next Winter!?

I have rarely encountered an ebay problem that having the best price on ebay for the item didn't solve. Sometimes that means throwing that item you were going to list directly in the trash which is what I did with one of the remote controls I got in a lot today.

I do believe it is eBay & all of the changes they have made. The economy does suck right now but the people who cannot afford to make purchases on eBay right now were not shopping here in the first place. If they don't have much extra money now, they did not have it before. Except for higher shipping costs, the flaws with eBay are at fault. A slow week for me used to be 8-10 sales. In May, I have 9 sales! That is all! It's pathetic. I am not sure why I even pay for a store now. In a month like May, it takes about 8% more of my total "income." I have been only getting 1-3 sales per week for 3 months. 2022 is horrible! Many of us need to find a way out of this hole. Good luck to us all. 🙂

Sakic92710,
Ebay sellers had over 87 billion US dollars in sales last year. Just because you are not selling anything doesn’t mean others are not selling things.

Where did I say others are not getting sales? I said "many of us." Not all. Last year, for the first half, I was doing very well. Ever since Oct/Nov, it got steadily worse for me. Guess when eBay started making more & more changes!
