Title Structure for Clothing listings

My basic formula has been [Brand>Department>Style>Type>Size>additional].  How important is it to include the "Department" when the category includes whether it is a men, women, kids or other. Also item specifics include the department etc.

Why I ask.  When searching Ebay for a similar item during listing research I find using the department in its recommended order does NOT auto complete keywords having to do with department.

What recommended order are you talking about?

I think you should include department if you have room in the title but it shouldn't be the 2nd keyword in the title- move it closer to the end.

I will usually just put a short description of the item. Brand only if it's a popular name brand, Color & Style then what the item is i.e. Dress or Pants. I don't put department, I figure that is what the item specifics are for.
