I know, I'll get comments about how some postal employees don't deserve a tip. Fine.
But if you appreciate the people who deliver and pick up your mail, or even if you want better service from them, now is the time to tip.
We get excellent service from USPS employees. Better than we expect. We consider holiday tipping a form of profit sharing.
Good luck with your sales!

Summer time this year the regular (rural) carrier, and the sub were doing 3 days each per week.
They each got a little summer bonus (little gift card) so as the not exceed the annual gift amount when the Xmas bonus goes out:)
To lighten the load I sometimes take packages to a nearby office if I have a big pile, or if I am going someplace, but they still pick up a bunch during the year, and my wife thinks every week is Christmas which results in many deliveries, so they get a little perk for the great service.
This fall I gave the guy at the nearby office (not mine) where I often drop off, a bag of apples. That reminds me. I also gave the carrier, and the sub a bag. Seasonal neighbor brought me about 80 lbs. when he came to close up camp. I can only make just so much applesauce.

Its a thoughtful thing to do for those who can afford it, I definitely cannot. I used to give our USPS delivery workers small gifts for Christmas, like boxes of cookies, etc. But I stopped a few years back as I'm way to poor to even afford dinner much less tip anyone.

It's 5:12 pm and my mail just arrived - yesterday was even later. We haven't had a regular carrier for the past two years. Our route is split up and added to the end of another carrier's route. So no I don't tip the mail carrier. They are very well paid for the service I receive. I do take a tray of food to the counter clerks at the local post office twice a year.
The trash guys and lawn service guys get cash tips between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and the cleaning ladies get gift cards.

I'm not tipping the ebay IT and development department people, that's for sure.

My mail carrier is the best. She lets me know her day off each week and when she is going on vacation.
She gets a box of home made peanut brittle and cookies every year. She says my peanut brittle is better than her mom's 🙂

Tipping them (USPS) $50 and $100 is nice but you are putting their jobs at risk. The rule is $20 max. Don't tip and risk them getting in trouble. I understand wanting too but remember they are well paid employees with good benefits. Is worth giving them $50 and risking that. Sure it's worked for years but do you have a way of knowing which employee or post office might be on the investigative radar?
Employee Tipping and Gift-Receiving Policy. All postal employees, including carriers, must comply with the Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch. Under these federal regulations, carriers are permitted to accept a gift worth $20 or less from a customer per occasion, such as Christmas.

I cannot believe it has been 19 years since I did the paper route but anyways I had 1 guy that would tip me $20 every 3 months. His paper never got wet, even when it was just a cloudy day I made sure to put his paper in a bag. I made sure he got special treatment from me and the farmer's wife, boy she could make homemade cookies so gooood.
Now you got me missing my route, Oh well, it doesn't exist anymore anyways. they got rid of us and use the mail system instead now.
