Time Away Setting

I am a Top Rated Seller and was wondering if I put my store on Time Away Setting and still able to sell items but ship when I get back from Vacation  or if I would be penalized for the 1 day shipping rule and loose my Top Rated Sellers Standing for not shipping out on time? Any help would be appreciated!!!

You have to change your turnaround time or you will be penalized.

You can make your listings inactive when you set your time away, just remember that potential buyers won't be able to make purchases until you return.

Alternatively, you can leave your listings active and each listing will have a banner at the top that states when you will return from time away. However, you'll still be bound to ship within your stated handling time. You can change your handling time to reflect your time away, but you will lose your TRS discount if it's more than 1 day.

You can opt to hide your listings and allow no sales too.

You have to bulk edit your handling time on all listings to coincide with your vacation return date. 

We just make ours dark.  Too many headaches - if just gone for 1-2 days, no biggie.  Week or more?  Not worth it.  Buyers do not read and someone will complain about a 7-8 day handling time.

If auctions; you have to ship as stated.

If 'Buy It Now' best to HIDE all items and most don't see the 'Seller is gone...'

As others stated, you will also have to change your handling time to coincide when you return. Top Rated Plus discount on fees (is that still a thing?) will NOT be applied to any listings shipping past the 1 Day Requirement.

Top Rated Seller standing does not require 1-day handling.  You can set your handling time to any option without endangering your TRS standing.  The 1-day handling requirement applies only to having the TR-Plus badge on a listing.

The Help page on the new-ish "Time away" option unhelpfully states: "The estimated delivery date will also be automatically updated in the Shipping and Delivery section of your listings, so you don't need to make any manual changes."  IMHO this still doesn't clarify whether you must ship within the handling time that was set up in the auction , so to be on the safe side you should revise your handling time IF you choose to allow your items to be purchased (rather than pausing sales).

Thank you (popblox). we just purchased our first home and I am needing about a week to move and get re-setup. I was wondering which would be the best way to handle my store without the risk of losing my top rated seller status. You just answered that question for me. Thanks again!
