I've been had!

 

I posted on a thread that was resurrected from last year.

 

Threads should be locked after 90 days or whenever they have no posts for 30 days.

No, they shouldn't Often they are still relevant and can be updated.

What SHOULD happen is that readers should check the dates and make conscious decisions about relevancy before posting.

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

Then maybe the dates should be BIGGER so we old folks can see them more CLEARLY

But just as often, they contain obsolete information about eBay policies, USPS prices, etc., or a poster piggybacks their own new issue on an old thread that has been  checked off as "Solved." 

 

Maybe a good compromise would be some sort of alert at the top of a thread when it's resurrected after a  month or more of inactivity.
