I do as well, except for eBay specifically, because of all the issues they have/had in the past (along with the possibility of blocking the view of promoted listings unintentionally), so it's actually less stressful to not use one 😂

Yeah, I think it depends on the specific ad blocker, your browser and OS, and the severity of your ad blocker's settings.

I have to use an ad blocker with eBay specifically because the ads are enough to make my computer run hot and browser to completely freeze up, making the site unusable. Ads on some sites are bad like that, eBay included.

I see sponsored listings without issue. I haven't seen any adverse affects or things behaving oddly by using an ad blocker, but I've helped plenty of other buyers and sellers that did see their ad blocker run interference with site function and suggesting someone temporarily turn if off is a common piece of advice when helping someone diagnose a possible tech issue (always start by ruling out the easy stuff).

OK so this just popped up on the home page for me which means it's not a 3rd party ad - it's from eBay. It was on one of my accounts that does not use the eBay app and based on the wording, I'm guessing it's meant to encourage app sign ups. I'm not seeing it on my account that does sign in to the app.

There is obviously a missing image, and there is nothing clickable.

Can you report this error to the product team devon@ebay ?
