Has anyone else ever gotten this message before when trying to list?:
It looks like there's a problem with this listing.
- Variation Specifics provided does not match with the variation specifics of the variations on the item.
- Missing name in the variation specifics or variation specifics set
I am now speaking to the THIRD rep through various departments and they all confirm I filled out the draft correctly and can not explain why this is happening. My variation specifics look fine.
They finally confirmed that it must be some kind of glitch and they are looking for a work-around. What got on my very last nerve though is that each rep O spoke with had a very thick accent and I literally have a headache from dealing with them, literally -- my head is pounding.

It has been posted many times that if you need to call ebay , call during the day during the week and then you will have the best chance of getting a US based service rep .

Yes. When I need to call I typically call first thing in the morning and reach the TX based reps. Unfortunately this problem JUST happened so I missed that early morning window of opportunity. Anyway, in the past when I have by chance reached a foreign rep they transfer me and the 2nd line rep is American. This time 3 different departments and all 3 with a very thick accent.
I guess I could have waited until tomorrow morning but I was eager to have this taken care of. The last rep, despite being very difficult to communicate with, was able to take care of the problem through a workaound -- so the problem is over, now I just need an aspirin or a glass of wine to deal with my headache!

As a training exercise, we have our staff call all with the same question and then compare all the different responses they got, if anything, it's amusing.

It's all be resolved. The last rep was able to find a workaround. She had to set-up all my variation specifics again -- doing them exactly the way I had -- but it worked. There must have been some sort of hitch in there for having sat around in a draft for nearly a week before trying to list/activate it. She had no explanation for the hiccup whatsoever, I was just glad the problem was resolved and I could list them.

If you want to avoid the frustration of the reps just go the Facebook Ebay for Business page and message them. They will get back to you within a few hours and are very helpful. Just make sure it's the vetted page with the blue circle and check mark.

OR If you don't Facebook, (not everyone does) you can always page a blue to these Discussion Boards.
Trinton, Heidi, or Tyler. (at name at ebay, altogether)
They are very good at showing up in the thread; and they are very helpful as well.
