I thought eBay buyers were all about getting the best price. In the last few days, I've seen my valuable item passed over while sellers get $84, $51, $26 & $21 more than mine. I can see 1 item selling higher but four?! I feel like the last guy being picked in gym class. lol Guess I'll just be waiting my turn. 😛 Stay safe & good luck. 🙂

Good attitude. Sometimes weird things just happen. Who knows why the other listings got more views than yours. Just keep in mind that your day will come and your listings will also get the bids. Stay positive and stay strong. Best of luck to you....

I have been selling on Ebay for 15 years and have studied the platform obsessively. There are a ton and I do mean ton of fake sold for prices. Have you ever noticed UK sellers in particular that consistently "sell" items with ridiculous shipping cost? They are using another account or a friend to "buy" items and in turn setting an artificial going rate for items. Example. I had a limited edition vinyl record. I had the exact same record(colored vinyl) and we both have 100% feedback. Yet mine Sat for months at $59.95 plus $4 shipping. His were consistently "selling" for $69.95 plus $27.97 shipping. It wasn't hard to figure out something was rotten in Denmark.

EBay does not show all of the items when one searches so they may be omitting yours. It is also in their best interest to show higher priced ones since they make more $$$ on the sale.

Perhaps it is as simple as buyers using search criteria that exclude your item.
Or that have reservations about buying from someone outside the USA.

One big reason for buyers passing you up, or paying more to others sellers, is you're from Canada. In many cases your postage is higher than other sellers and the items take longer to arrive.

Sometimes buyers don’t do their due diligence.

You know I often wondered about this. One way I believe ebay could fix such a problem would be to periodically remove results where the sale was cancelled or didn't go through for one reason or another. This might help provide a more realistic pricing guide for people.

I realize this sounds crazy and probably counter-intuitive, but have you tried actually RAISING the price of yours to be more in line with the others?
If you saw others selling for $20-80 more than yours, perhaps increase the price by $30-40 for awhile and see if that works?
You don't have much to lose, and perhaps later on if that does "not" work you can discount it or offer a discount to any watchers so it looks like deal.

Price is not the only thing buyers look at. Your location (Canada) likely plays a big factor in both search results and purchasing decisions for US buyers.

To be honest, you have some cool stuff in your store. But I would not want to wait forever to see it. I sell internationally, but rarely if ever BUY internationally. I don't like the wait.
I just sold something to India the other day, and the buyers projected wait time was 4 weeks. In their situation, they likely have no choice but to wait that long for an item they likely can't get in their own country. Me, I don't have that issue, so I am not going to wait that long, unless I am getting a screaming deal.
Whenever I search something, I first filter by "US Only". I suspect other buyers use this filter often, especially with the amount of China garbage sold on eBay US. That search too, knocks out my Canadian neighbors.

I agree it is probably your location causing the problems with chasing buyers away after seeing shipping time and shipping fees.
I looked at your ring magazine and it shows expedited shipping is $14.00 plus they show a delivery time of April 5. Almost a month away and this is expedited and I am in Wi. so I am not far over the border state wise. Hate to see it if I was in a southern state from you. Oh plus it says this in your listing too.
International shipment of items may be subject to customs processing and additional charges.
Sorry, but for me I will stick to buying from my fellow USA sellers,

Maybe the other sellers promoted their items and the sold from a google search. It pays to promote.

It doesn't help when I ship to NY and USPS sends the parcel to FL then finally back to NY. I'm right on the border to NY State! lol

I have seen that happen: Raising the price and getting the sale.
I first saw it happen live and in person at a friend's yard sale. She had a little old portable television out there in her front yard that caught people's eyes (because it was pink!) and attention, but nobody expressed interest in buying it. As the afternoon wore on, she decided to add $5.00 to the price. Sold to the next buyer who drove up.
And here on eBay I have done that with things -- such as small cross-stitch kits -- that didn't sell after two or three five-day auction listings. Waited a few more weeks and listed again with a price 50 cents higher -- and made the sale.
Very strange, but it can work !!
