I just thought I would pass along something that sellers should be aware of before making Seller Initiated Offers (SIO). If you're one to fiddle with your "handling time" or "time-away" settings due to unexpected events, you need to be aware that once you send out an SIO, you are locked into that commitment.
In other words, if your SIO includes "Same Day" or "1-Day" shipping, but then 2-days later you decide to place your store on "Time-Away" or extend your "Handling Time" due to an impending snowstorm, your commitment still stands. This can set you up for "Late Shipment" dings against you. 😉

Nice little nugget of info. Most do not think of these things.
Thanks

I try not to offer any SIOs 4 days before I leave town (I often leave Thurs-Sun to check on my elderly parents) . I change my handling time from 1-2 day to 3 days. If a few items slip through, I either end the item or if it is a small item I will bring it with me to send from my temp location if it sells .
Also, the handle time cannot be changed on items ending in the last 24 or 12 hours (forget which), but when you change the handling time it will tell you how many items did not update with the new handling time.
