They are tinkering with the boards again!

Has anyone else noticed that the boards are doing different things?

i know, what are you talking about?

Conversations are mixed up.

If you read a thread, notification still pops up. There is a new post, but goes to a random post.

I've noticed for the past few days that threads I've read all of then show back up in bold like there is a new post to them but there isn't.

I don't think I ever had it........but the setting is probably under the my profile/settings for the boards......

You find that in upper right corner........between the avatar  and your id.........click on the the down arrow.

So you don't have a bell 🔔 with a number next to it on the boards?

When I go back to a thread, it doesn't always take me back to where I left off reading.

I know this changed was in recent months, but it doesn't really serve a purpose. 

There is now a JOIN THE COMMUNITY bar at the top right of the screen that you need to click on to then get to a Board.  Since it just seems like an unnecessary click, I wonder if they are keeping track of when and how much you use the Boards.  That, along with the constant surveys, make me think this.  I have asked in the survey why they are doing that?  I hope they are not thinking of getting rid of the Boards because it is the best resource for help that they have; not everyone (gasp!) is on Facebook or Twitter and the most logical place to go is Ebay's own Boards.  

It might be helpful if they put a popup survey on every time you use the site; people could rate them on the site's issues and performance.  Yes, I know there are the Tell Us What You Think links, but this would be a more direct solicitation of response.

It must have been a glitch. What I was referring to isn't happening now.
It only happened for about a hour.

No Surveys please! No pop ups please!

The go to last post read has be brought to Alan's attention. Don't know what will happen with that.

Yes we are being tracked. Go to your profile and scroll down. I have read over a million post etc.

Yep, I have the bell........I thought you were talking about notifications about threads you were monitoring..........

haven't had any trouble with it.....that I've noticed.........
