Did you mean:

There's slow and then there's really slow

O.K, I know this subject has been discussed to death, but really, what has Ebay done now. This past week has been absolutely lights out as far as sales go. With each passing day any type of activity has dwindled down to nothing. It is actually scary, what is happening. I now feel like any sale is a fluke/miracle. Has this past week achieved a new low level of feeble sales activity for you, like it has for me? I want to know if this is site wide, and even though sales have sucked, if this is a whole new sucky level. I didn't want to have to take the extra time to list on competing platforms, but it now seems absolutely necessary for survival.

Of course executives don't care. Unfortunately, when they run out of Americans to exploit, they look for more desperate people outside of America to maximize their profits. Ebay is just a microcosm of what's happening in all of corporate America, especially in Silicon Valley.

True,but even knowing that does not resolve the issue of lack of sales/income for the less fortunate smaller sellers  nor does it right the wrong.

Re: There's slow and then there's really slow

Nope, but it's all part of the corporate game, and as long as more people are making less, why would they pay more for cheap Chinese items at eBay at a high shipping cost from American sellers when they can get it shipped free from China, thanks to Chinese government shipping subsidies, or Amazon, thanks to tax benefits?  Walmart killed all the mom and pop shops, Amazon is killing eBay and retail stores, including Walmart, and someday, Amazon will sink too.

The only ways we can stop corporations from screwing us over is by changing our spending habits and voting for the right politicians. As individuals, we can do little to contribute, but politicians can make tremendous change in the entire system. We can also collectively pay a little extra to help the American economy and Americans, but we all know that that won't ever happen. We like our cheap stuff.

God I hope you are wrong. You say I have only 2 listings. Is that what it showed when you looked at my seller name/store? If so, that proves the point, as I have ~ 215 active listings.

@goldrushfinds

Please don't run with that thinking no one can see your stuff. You have 219 items listed right now.

Re: There's slow and then there's really slow

*Crazy numbers* without matching sales. In my 12 years of selling, I have NEVER had this many lookers at my items without any follow-up sales. 25 - 40 on most items I've had less than a dozen in the past???

Go figure or the bots are messing with us again.   IMHO.

WHO APPROVES ALL OF THE PROGRAM CHANGES?  EVIDENTIALLY THEY HAVE FORGOTTEN WE ARE EVERYDAY FOLK.

Yes, I am hollering.  Anybody listening?

Regards, Willow

I like to think of this as the bottom. A week from now nobody will have time to come to these boards because they’ll be packing *let’s hope *
