The major problem on eBay is MICRO-MANAGING because there is no clear vision. I don't know of any long-term plans based on what I experience on this platform. Many changes made on this platform do not add any clear value because they do not relate with the sellers before they make their changes. "The worst ideology on eBay is thinking that once it favors eBay, sellers should dive into the ocean", this is why eBay makes sudden erratic changes, eBay will eventually realize that such half-baked decision does not favor them in the long run and still need to make another half-baked decision. The good news is that eBay still have the opportunity to start listening /communicating with sellers while the Sun shines. Let it not be like the situation where Facebook is chasing TikTok, but Facebook refused initially to listen to many of her business customers.
There are some great changes on Seller's hub but some of them are more in sync with time-wasting and hype than value. The worst is the distortion of Listings due to all these erratic changes. This causes sales to drop, and the worst part is that eBay does not inform sellers that they are having problems, until a seller notices a drop in sales for over 80%. these guys don't care a bit about how these erratic changes affect sellers. For over 1month, very few sales which cannot handle any bill.
"eBay where is your VISION?" "eBay where is your 10yrs plan?" "eBay where is your 5yrs plan?" 'eBay where is your 2yrs plan?" "eBay where is your 1yr plan?". I am tempted to ask eBay for their 1day plan.

I have had so many sales this month that I chose to go on time away until next month. Sales will put me in another tax bracket if I allow it to continue.

Micro-Managing in terms of sudden short-term changes, herculean policies/Listing specifics which add little or no value to the platform. There are many Listing specifics I see on eBay; I will be like "why?" For instance, on Suit and Blazers category, I see things like the number of buttons on sleeves meanwhile the person who designed such did not think of creating proper suit sizes which will drive more traffic. Example of eBay suite Size Specific is Size 38 instead of size 38S or 38R or 38L

If you expect to make minimum wage, or higher, selling on ebay, you need to have far more listings than you have ever had displayed during your years of posting about "ebay's failure to make you a success", "because of their policies/action".
Some that are displeased set up their own websites where they can set policy, and be in control of all. You seem to have a very good grasp of how things work. Have you considered taking the reins on your destiny?

Yes "specifics" is a bit flawed, but with size in the title, having it in the "specifics" is a non-issue.
As should be quite evident, as ebay seldom listens to seller concerns, we need to concentrate on what we can do,........................................ with what is presented.

158 Active listings
80 Sold in the past 90 days
The percentage of inventory you have sold is MUCH better than average.
Let me compliment you for doing a good job without hoarding.
...a seller notices a drop in sales for over 80%.
...very few sales which cannot handle any bill.
eBay has the capacity of giving you more than lunch money. Lunch money is not up to minimum wage.
If you are relying on eBay to support yourself financially, you need to add some digits to the 158 number. Increase that to 1,580 or 15,800.
To put words into eBay's mouth, the vision is Verticals.
Expensive items that get authenticated.
Ordinary items will not be getting much push or advertising from eBay.

Just because you are not aware of eBay's long terms plans - or paying attention to them - does not mean that they have none.
One of their long term plans was to create their own payment system and capture the 3% of GMV that was going to PayPal, and they did that.
Another of their long term plans was to create structured data for listings so they could provide buyers with meaningful filters for things like brands and sizes and materials, and they did that.
Yet another of their long term plans was to start capturing the luxury goods market by offering authentication of things like designer bags and watches and sneakers and sports cards, and they are doing that.
And still another of their long term plans is to update the interface to modern standards and merge the PC and mobile experiences together for a more seamless experience, and they are doing that.

If you have a better clear vision than Ebay maybe start your own website. You have no control on Ebay's vision so no need to stress about it.

Lol, referring to eBay as "her" is a proper English. eBay is the Vehicle not the item so whether eBay is a corporation or not, "her" fits the usage.
I refuse to go into your later reasoning, same ideology is why a big corporation like Facebook is chasing TikTok today. The earlier eBay begins to intimate her sellers on policies and changes at conception, the better for the platform. eBay can keep her operations secret, but she needs to have clear vision and direction. eBay needs to collaborate with sellers on policies and changes at conception. "We are in social media age, the days of boss mentality in management are gone".

TikTok
eBay encouraged sellers to put YouTube videos in their listings years ago.
More recently, they have encouraged sellers to put the videos directly on eBay.
Are you taking advantage of the video capability in your listings?

I really think you should stick to the topic you raised and not attempt to lecture us on proper use of the English language.

The video is a great concept, but eBay should not be waiting for a seller to add video before the video is activated. Such video display should be activated by eBay once you load up to 5 pictures, it should be automated to produce a video of the pictures and also have an option of sellers to load their own videos. My point is that some of the things introduced will take more time as per listing if they are not automated.

You are incorrect. A corporation has no gender.

And I may have to back track to make sure I did not miss your explanation for exactly what you are talking about when you say eBay micro manages.

Lol let's not deviate from the main point of the post, if you don't understand the English, go and make your research.
