The number of new watchers on my listings has dropped suddenly in the last week

I am getting very few new watchers on my items.  I am listing new items regularly too and nothing seems to be attracting watchers.  They are items that sell regularly and the prices are competitive yet still no watchers.  Anyone have any thoughts on why this may be happening?

You are an established seller, and as such, know the market waxes and wanes over time, it is the nature of retail. That could be a likely culprit in lack of traffic, watch count and/or views.

Watcher count does not tell us much beyond the listing is being seen. It does not instruct us to the why a member places an item on a list. It has been my experience that watchers do not necessarily  translate into sales. I have had high watch counts come to naught, and no watch counts lead to robust sales.

It is difficult to quantify a sudden cessation in watchers. A sudden drop in views would be more alarming. But if you are hoping to improve traffic, following eBay’s SEO might help, see link below, to rebuild your watch count.

I don't pay any attention to watchers, I'd rather have buyers.

Have a great day.

Watchers come and watchers go.  Some are looking because...Some may be interested and are looking for the best bargain....Some may have that item and are looking to see if it will sale at your price...Some may have changed their minds...who really knows what happens to them...The most important watcher for a seller is the watcher that become the buyer!

That doesn't answer my question.  Also, I care about watchers because I send offers to them and about 20% of the time, they accept so watchers can easily become buyers if you give them incentive.

How can you tell whether a watcher is a new watcher or not?

By "new" watchers, I meant watchers on newly listed items or additional watchers on items that I've had for a while.
