There is a new live animals policy change going into effect within 30 days. This prohibits all live animals except for those that fall under these exceptions:
* Bees
* Feeder insects such as crickets, Dubia roaches, earthworms, and mealworms
* Ladybugs
* Hatching eggs provided that they aren't from migratory birds or endangered species and the seller provides domestic-only shipping.
This policy change severely impacts the aquarium trade, as it prohibits selling aquarium fish, pond fish, invertebrates, etc...
I am against this change. I advocate for the reversal of this policy change, or the addition of aquarium/pond livestock to the list of exceptions.

For anyone that needs the information on how to contact Ebay
******************************************************************
On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.
https://twitter.com/askebay
https://www.facebook.com/ebay
https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/
Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

Do you know what inspired Ebay to make this change?

PLEASE don't take their posts to heart. They are making jokes at your expense. They simply have no empathy for the horrible financial situation you are being thrusted into at no fault of your own. Don't engage them, they simply are intentionally trying to get under your skin for some unknown reason.
Madam, please do not assert what are my motivations. You do not speak for me.
Quite frankly, the financial repercussions for other sellers of this latest eBay decision are of no concern to me, for the simple reason that unlike fish and shrimp (and bees and ladybugs which sadly are exempt from this latest policy change), human beings are blessed with foresight and executive function and can exert some control over the impact of changes in things like rules and regulations.
I regard as singularly abhorrent the practice of shipping living things in the mail.
To my mind, this latest policy change is karma at work, nothing more.
And we all know what they say about karma.

There’s probably a bigger market for frozen shrimp than live ones for the aquarium. Millions of pounds of frozen shrimp are consumed daily in the United States alone.
Another plus, you can still sell frozen shrimp on eBay.
Great minds think alike! 😁
The best part is that frozen shrimp will not have to wonder what the heck is going on when their world is turned upside down and they hear humans conversing in the background about backups at USPS distribution hubs.

IMO the reason for this change is shipping has become unreliable. You used to be able to set your clock that Priority would be 2 business days but that has changed drastically.
I think it's a good thing. I can't imagine being stuck in transit suffocating or freezing to death.

I make absolutely no apologies for my joy -- which I will continue to express as I see fit -- at seeing limits placed on the ability of humans to abuse living things.

Slow down. I have not responded to ANY of your posts. You may want to revisit the post you are responding to as it wasn't to you.
FYI No need to call me Madam, the mam in my ID is simply my initials, NOTHING more.

So instead of admitting that you erred when you claimed to be able to read my thoughts, you are now pretending like you don't know what I am talking about? Good heavens.

Whoops, I was mistake as the post you responded to wasn't one I posted to you. The first one did respond to you, the second did not. I honestly thought I didn't respond to your posts. Apologies for my error. I do however stand by what I said.
The inability to see the harm done to these sellers is something that is going on all over the US for variety of reasons. It is largely the cause for the divide between many Americans.
I personally respect your feelings on shipping live fish. You have every right to feel the way you do and I would not in any way try to take that away from you. But that really should prevent you for empathizing with sellers that are going to be significantly damaged financially by this change. Just my opinion, take it or throw it out, your decision to make.

How would you like to be stuffed into a cardboard box and jostled about in the dark for several days?
Reminds me of riding Greyhound.

Despite my visceral reaction to shipping living beings, I wonder how the ladybugs and praying mantis egg sacs would get to my local hardware store but for shipping?
We buy them every year to fight aphids and other garden pests the natural way, avoiding harmful pesticides.

When I worked in medical research, we used to get mice shipped in the mail (actually normally FedEx).

Well, there are a lot of mildly labor-intensive ways to combat aphids and other garden pests without introducing natural predators to the garden.
But that's tangential to the issue that I am belaboring here. 😊
I choose to live in a way that is respectful of living things (except ticks, houseflies and mosquitoes).
I suppose my point here is that if a person abuses living things for profit, then it is only a matter of time before there is payback. The payback may be several degrees removed from the offense. But as I see it, payback there will most assuredly be.

Animals aren't commodities and shouldn't be treated as such. I support eBay's decision, and hope they crack down harder on products that cause or are a product of animal abuse. Especially with shipping becoming increasingly unreliable, shipping a live being via the mail is NEVER going to be 100% safe with zero deaths (just look at the DOA policies fish sellers have). It's cruel, no matter what people say and how they try to justify it. I do have sympathy if you're just trying to make ends meet and this makes things harder for you, but people need to move towards less exploitative ways of making money.
