What I think will hurt many this holiday ---> making sales on Thursday/Friday, etc. & not seeing the money deposited until the following Wednesday! Long stretch without incoming cash. Hope everyone can survive ok. Good luck to us all! 🙂

@sakic92710 I must be missing something. I'm set up for weekly payouts, on a Tuesday. ebay pays on Tuesday, and the money is usually in my account the same day. Is there some reason why I won't see it until Wednesday next week?

I don't know how it is in the US but in Canada, Mon/Tues. will be the holidays to make up for Xmas & Boxing Day being on the weekend. Our banks are closed until Wed.

"Boxing Day" is not a thing in the U.S.
I think most Americans who have even heard of it, have seen it in movies and TV.
In the movie "Evelyn", set in Ireland, the mother leaves the family on December 26. Evelyn, the little daughter, sees her mom walking away with a suitcase and calls to her, asking where she's going, because it's Boxing Day and all the shops are closed.
And in the "M*A*S*H" TV series, one episode took place on December 26, when the whole camp decided to observe Boxing Day along with the British troops, which involved officers and enlisted personnel switching roles.

Glad I shut down until after the New Year, so I won't have to worry about it.

Fake news. Sellers should have been reserving money for things like returns, damages in transit, and the eventuality of taxes. Surely, by this point in the year, people have a reserve to pay their Q4 taxes, right? Surely, sellers weren’t planning on spending all of their eBay money as soon as it comes in, leaving everyone else on the hook if and when there is a problem with the item or the delivery?

This thread is kind of the equivalent of digging around in the couch cushions for a little spare change. The Christmas holidays ALWAYS disrupt banking hours.
