Here's an article from CNBC about sellers and brands buying top listings, it also says in the article that sellers on Amazon are paying as much as 50% for various fees just to use the site.
When those prices get too high will those sellers migrate to Ebay, or will Ebay do the same thing that Amazon is doing, essentially taking most of your profits, where only the mega companies can survive ?

Did you mean to include a link to the article you're referencing?
Is Amazon's program similar to eBay's promoted listings program?

It it the ones that have Amazon store and ship their products?
I'm guessing they pay a pretty good fee for that?

That process has already been happening since 2019. It's now in full effect since PPC option was rolled out for promoted listings.
I warned about the harmful effects of promoted listings in 2019 that was acknowledged by @jordan_sweetnam .
"Conversations on this topic are underway - I can't commit to a specific date or change - but don't be surprised to see us testing some things in the new year and announcing changes by Q2. "
Executives know eBay is a sinking ship and they must abuse promoted listings and service metrics to fund the life rafts.
Nice article from Marketplacepulse:
https://www.marketplacepulse.com/articles/ebays-plan-is-more-ads
"Thus eBay has found a short-term plan to grow revenue but still has no answers for declining market share."
eBay focuses on squeezing every penny out of every dollar of sales versus building value for buyers.
eBay is actually now more expensive for numerous items versus selling on other platforms.
It's truly sad that the site has become this way coming from an annual 7-figure seller on the site. eBay is no longer our marketplace choice as of summer 2021.

The OP has posted about an Amazon program described in an article about Amazon's practices. The OP is not posting about eBay.
Are you at all familiar with the Amazon program or practices referred to in the OP's post? While I'm aware of eBay's promoted listings program, I'm not aware of Amazon's. I would like to learn more about their approach from the OP or other posters who've had experience selling there, since that's the topic that has been presented.

If you read OP post, my response what for their question "When those prices get too high will those sellers migrate to Ebay, or will Ebay do the same thing that Amazon is doing, essentially taking most of your profits, where only the mega companies can survive ?"
eBay is more pay to win now than Amazon ever has been throughout the entirety of their advertising program.

Amazon takes HUGE chunks of money pre-listing.
Want the buy-box? Pay $40 per month. The buy-box is the only way to get regular sales. Sure you'll get one of's, but nothing consistant.
If you chose not to pay the $40, there's a $0.99 per sold item, PLUS 15% fees.
Then there's the "rental" fee. Amazon charges per square foot of space. Great for supplements, not so great if you have a big item. Currently at $2.40 per cubic foot per month. Rate goes up from there depending on the item(s).
Pulling fee. Every item you store with amazon and sells will have another fee to actually get the item out of your prepaid storage area. This can range anywhere between $2.70 to $150+.
Next, the shipping fee. You are charged whatever it costs to ship plus 10%.
So you sold a t-shirt for $20.
So a t-shirt costs $4.50 to pull. $0.99 to sell, $2.97 to ship AND 15% of the sold price. $8.50 in fees BEFORE the 15% which is $3.00. That t-shirt just cost you $11.50 in fees.
And you complain about ebay fees!

But do those other platforms have the same amount of traffic? For instance, I have a friend who tried selling on eCrater and made a whopping total of three sales in an entire year. Sure, the fees are lower, but that doesn't mean anything if you're not making sales.
All of the other major platforms I'm aware of/have tried myself have fees that are either about the same as or higher than eBay's. Mercari's fees, for example, are the same as eBay's, plus an additional $2 if you want an instant transfer to your bank account or if you're transferring less than $10. Poshmark's fees are much higher than eBay's, which is fine if you're selling expensive designer clothing but terrible if you're just trying to clean out your closet. Amazon will nickel and dime you to death with fees on everything.

Are you willing to provide details of your selling experiences on Amazon, as the poster in Message #7? And it would be appreciated if you could offer specific, side-by-side comparisons of eBay versus Amazon that would support the above statement? It would seem to contradict the previous post . . .
You are aware, of course, that eBay's promoted listings feature is optional, right?

It's all end-stage corporate cannibalism. Like any organism that becomes too big to sustain itself, it turns instead to consuming itself.
Amazon's growth is in AWS, cloud, etc., anyway.

And some sellers are abandoning amazon:
Ebay's future involves eating more of the sellers profits, but unlike Amazon they do not have any product, no cloud service or streaming platform.

100% agree , Instead of helping sellers and cutting there expenses they choose new methods to squeeze money out of sellers .
