I sold a phone, and changed my bank account unaware that it would affect my payments. I asked customer support if they would be able to speed things up and they were really rude with me. I've asked several times for a supervisor to report their behavior but they keep transferring me.
My account is locked and they keep asking me to submit verification. When on hold, they keep saying the same things over and over like they are taunting me cause they keep bouncing me back and forth. It's been a week now. My funds have been on hold and every time i contact customer service, whom you can't even understand, you can tell they are trying everything to keep me away from the supervisor.
I've been with eBay for 10+ years and have a loyal 100% rating. I sell occasionally at auction.
The auction was $450, I see $350... For $100 I expect better service. This isn't even the total cost of this sale.
Wait until it happens to you, I thought all those people warning me must have done something to deserve it, but it turns out, they were right all along.

Oh, I have proven that there are eBay people with vendettas. They targeted me several years ago. I had to get my attorney involved. It stopped shortly after.

Try contacting the CS agents on Facebook for ebay business. They are normally very helpful when compared to the normal CS agents which are typically routed to the overseas call centers.
Good luck!

I sold a phone, and changed my bank account unaware that it would affect my payments.
Look at this from eBay's perspective. If a scammer hijacked a selling account, what is the first thing they would do? They would change the bank account in order to intercept the money.
So IMHO ii is not unrealistic that this triggered the verification process which in turn affects payments.
When on hold, they keep saying the same things over and over like they are taunting me
I have read a lot of conspiracy theories on this board, but an automated phone system that "taunts" people is definitely a new one.

It looks like your phone sold on Friday afternoon before Memorial Day weekend. When did you change your bank account?

"I sell occasionally at auction."
Have you signed up for managed payments? Are they asking for verification for either your ID or bank account? If so, you need to complete that verification.
As you sell occasionally, you are considered a "new" seller and as such your money can be held for up to 30 days or longer. And while you wait, please educate yourself on the current eBay payment policy.

Since you haven't sold in awhile, they'll hold the funds and they can hold them for 30 days.

The operative words here are, "changed my bank account unaware that it would affect my payments."
Unaware, indeed.

Oh I don't know, I've been on a few automated phone systems that kept telling me my wardrobe choices were low-class and that I needed a haircut and a shave. One even kept telling me different "Yo Mama" jokes.

I have sold constantly all this year. Look at my reviews, a simple LOOK at my reviews will tell you that information. Come on.

I did check your feedback, you have 2 for the past 6 months and only shows 2 sold items lately.

Then it must be on a different account. I see two sold items on this account and two feedbacks in the last year. Feedback BTW is not an accurate reflection of what you sold since most buyers don't even bother to leave feedback these days.
As far as the call in customer support these days it is abysmal. You are better off using the facebook connection since most of these individual are actually empowered to do something. No clue why you changed your bank account but silly assumption to assume that it would not impact your payouts. How is eBay supposed to know you changed?

Until your recent two sales in May, you havent sold anything for months..Ebay considers you a new seller and your funds will be held. Ebay prefers any refunds come out of your pocket, not theirs.

Imagine that your account was hijacked and the bank account info was changed by the hijackers, as it would be. You learn about this only much later, after damage was already done to you, your finances, possibly your credit rating, and so on.
Wouldn''t you be here asking: "Why didn't eBay let me know the moment someone changed the bank account! How big a red flag is that, that eBay ignored? What kind of outfit wouldn't put everything on hold, including any transfer of funds, and ask for verification if a bank account is changed out of the blue?" And so on.
