The best news for my store and customers...

So I found out today that Chit Chats Express is opening a branch about 2 miles from where I work. (I will pass by it on the way home, but since they're starting off with restricted hours I will have to cruise by during my lunch break).

This means mailing 2 or 3 times a week without a two day delay in getting packages to their shipping centre in Burlington. I can just drive there and drop them off. Without the pick up aspect, I will save $85 to $130 a month in transport fees (the pick up is done by FedEx, until now Chit Chats did not reach my city). Their business is expanding and it's a good thing for everyone involved in my eBay business.

Just an FYI  - I know a Seller who used to use them.  All is good unless there is a return, something undeliverable.

from their site:

Chit Chats Returns Service

All return shipments must be able to be associated with a Chit Chats account either by including your client ID or by matching your Chit Chats account name. This is important if you use Chit Chats’ U.S. return address. If we cannot identify or associate a return with an account, we will dispose of or reject it. Don’t forget to update your return address on all platforms if you use Chit Chats to manage your returns.

Canadian shipments

Returns for all Canadian shipments are sent back to a Chit Chats branch. Unlike USPS, the cost of postage for Canadian shipments does not include the return fee.

Return fees for Canadian shipments are based on the package weight and dimensions. As soon as our returns team processes them, Canadian return fees will apply directly to your Chit Chats account.

Good luck.  Anything that saves money is typically a good thing.

We've had returns a few times, but only a few times... the items went to Pickering Ontario and I had to pay $10 to have them sent back to me (or let them dispose of the item). It depends which service you use. If it's USPS you will get the item back when it eventually gets there. If it's one of their cheap tracked services like Asendia, the item is gone. I will ship with Asendia on inexpensive stuff to keep postage costs down, but anything that I'd like back if it doesn't sells goes USPS, even international shipments.

I've been using CCE since 2016, the only difference is they have a drop off outlet in my city, whereas before I had to drive to Burlington or Mississauga to drop off packages, or courier them in using FedEx Ground. So there's a big savings of time and money now that their new location is near where I work (close enough to go during lunch time).
