The No Final Value Promotion Not Working?

I accepted the No Final Value Fee Promotion offer.  Then listed an item.  The confirmation of the listing arrived and indicated that I had used one of my free insertions and none of my No Final Value Fee items.

I called Ebay but, of course, the office is closed (even though the last time I called the person I talked to was definitely in India somewhere).

So, I cancelled the listing, went back in and re-accepted the No Final Value Fee Promotion offer (no idea why it let me do that), then relisted my item.  The confirmation of the listing arrived and indicated that I had used one of my free insertions and none of my No Final Value Fee items.

Any ideas what is up?

Thanks

Re: The No Final Value Promotion Not Working?

Yes that will happen each time you list an item.  It will use one of your free listing allotment.  That is how it works.  You list, it counts against your free allotment of listings.  If you close / end that listing for whatever reason you have and then go and list it again, it will come from your free allotment because you created another listing.

As to FVFs [final value fees].  They aren't charged until you actually sell something.  So I'm unsure as to what you are expecting to see when you just list the item as there is nothing to see unless it sells right away.  But once something sells and if it is withing that promotion period for the free or reduced FVFs, that is when it will have the promo apply.

The offer for free final value fees is used when the item sells, so that's when the counter will change.
