Hello
Am I the only one who dislikes the new GTC only for fixed price items? For me it an issue. I am not married to eBay nor do I have an assistant to take care of things when I not available. I like to take a day off or spend some time running errands. With GTC now I had to end items a day early so they do not relist. I not going to want an item that has 0-3 views to relist (during the 30-day listing). If an item ends when I not present or 3 A.M in the morning I will lose 1-as many as 15 of my monthly allotment for selling. I always replace any slow-moving items with new ones. Anyways, I hope eBay takes note of this complaint. If enough of us do so I think they would go back to the old.

Many of us feel the same way and have complained since it was announced last month.
"They" have not taken note and I will assume "they" do not care if we like it or not.

Hello again
I just wanted to add another point. What if a seller has a limited monthly listing limits 25, 50 0r even 100? I usually max out the 3rd week. So if I miss even as low as 5 items, eBay will charge me $1.50 because of GTC. Multiply that by a few thousands....things to make you go hmmm.

I HATE IT TOO! I have been selling on ebay for many years, have been through many changes they have made over time, and never commented until now due to the latest seller update which only allows good until cancelled option on fixed price listings. I used to list in auction when I first began selling, and eventually moved to the 30 day fixed price listings which worked much better, and resulted in better sales for me. Over the years, I have been getting more and more frustrated with selling due to the realization that changes are continually made which are portrayed as being beneficial to sellers, but in reality the changes are actually beneficial to ebay collecting more fees to line their pockets on the backs of the sellers. Insertion fees, final value fees, fees on shipping, and PayPal fees on every item listed or sold is making it NOT worth selling on ebay. This latest good until canceled thing is a HUGE turn off for me, and I hope ebay gets the message, or receives a major backlash from sellers that share the same opinion on this. I feel like it's almost like dealing with the incompetent government 😞 You can only tax individuals so much before they give up or leave! I have submitted my thoughts through the "tell us what you think" thing, and stated that they should take notice on the comments being posted on the community discussion boards, but that will probably be ignored too. I am EXTREMELY unhappy about this as many others are! To ebay ... "GREED GETS YOU NOWHERE"

I like the way they worded it, "To help you sell your item ..."
First of all, it does the opposite when ALL Good Til Cancelled appears at the very BOTTOM of buyer's searches: Best Match, Newly Listed, etc
As mentioned about the only way we can fight it is to end them ourselves on the 29th day and relist them when we want, which just doubles our work.
Sad how ebay cares less about what sellers prefer.

I would think that if everyone only lists their limit of items eBay will soon find that their seller's listing will go down DRASTICALLY. I get 50 and that's what I will list. Now when I get those FREE extra perks, I will NOT be taking advantage of the extra listings that are offered if it's only GTC.
One would think that with unlimited listings eBay would make more in commissions. Guess they were making tooooooooooooooooooo MUCH money and want to penalize the small sellers.
Hopefully the PROFITS will decrease substantially and they will go back to the GOOD DAYS.

I agree this is not a policy I like at all. We all have our way of handling our auctions and store Items and this GTC does not help me. I dont alway want to relist right away and I like to evaluate if I want to relist at all. I have sold on ebay quite awhile and resent Ebay wanting to take over for me. I do not think this will help sales, but I do think it will help ebay up it charges. You can not even ad on automations to the fixed prices now. Pooh on Ebay for becomeing a dictator.

how do you go about voiceing a complaint to ebay about this??

I too, am a one person show...
Listing duration for all fixed price listings will be Good 'Til Cancelled..
I am very unhappy with this new law. Been with Ebay for many years and now I feel not so welcome.. It is (in my view) a bad, bad policy... I will be thinking about leaving Ebay for good.... Lets hope Ebay heeds the warning and goes back to the way it used to be..

I'm wondering if I am missing something on how GTC works. I thought it automatically keeps relisting until I stop it. If so, is this every 30 days? I figured they are trying to get people to go back to auctions. For me, I normally relist every 7-10 days to try to get more views. If it is ending every 7 - 10 days it is coming into view more often, isn't it, in ending soonest or newly listed???? That is 10 cents each time it is relisted. With auctions it is 25 cents each time and the reason I quit the auctions. Way more expensive. Am I looking at this the wrong way?

EBay have you never heard the phrase "if it isn't broke don't fix it"? Just another way for eBay to hit you with more fees. When will they ever listen to the sellers?
