The Best Part of Waking Up Is...

...an unexpected $500 sale.

Now that is a good way to start the day before we attempt to go fishing again.  Woke up to discover that the fire alarm control panel that I got for free (salvaged) sold for a nice tidy $500 plus shipping.  And this was only its second time up.  Apparently, the buyer did not mind that it was priced near the upper end for something like this; and they were also unphased by the fact that it was listed as untested with the condition as For Parts / Not Working due to being unable to test it; and No Returns (and nothing in the description that can be "held against" me.)

And since it was already prepackaged up, all that is left is to log it on my spreadsheet and print up the label.  Then to the post office it goes on our way out of town to Brownlee Reservoir for what should be good krappie and bass fishing this time.

Now for that first cup of coffee of the day...  😄

If it works, sell it. If it works well, sell it for more. If it doesn't work, quadruple the price and sell it as an antique.

Way to go, ducky!

Now could you share a little and maybe wave a magic wand so some of us can at least get a $10 sale sometime soon?  🙂

Great! 45.8% down over the same time last year with 2x+ items listed. Are you impressed? I'm certainly not!

I think the Sales Fairy knew we were going to be up a bit earlier getting ready to go fishing, so she decided to just do her thing.  Usually, I have to get up, get some water, check for sales, then go back to bed and sleep in for an hour or so to cause her to show up.  And if that doesn't work, then taking an afternoon siesta often does the trick.  😄

Now that it is all ready to go out, and before we actually go out, is the next step to come here and bemoan the over $60 fees eBay and PayPal charged combined on this, and that I should have listed it elsewhere with lower or no fees, while totally ignoring the nice sum of take home pay I end up with after all is said and done?  😉

Just think... Feb. 2, 2018 isn't that far off, and then you'll actually be in the clear to KEEP the $440 you made on this sale.

On the other hand, your "partner", the "venue", is in the clear on their $60 right now.

Doesn't get much better than that, yes?

Chaos is NOT an "industry standard".

This is likely a type of item that despite its price, is low scam.  So I am not going to worry about the buyer attempting any shenanigans on it.

Oh, and the venue only got about $45 of the $60.  The payment processor got the other $15.
