Trying eBay after years of not doing it cause of bad customer interactions. Friends who buy off It say its the most streamline and safe place to sell. Just had a bot buy two of my items and now there is no easy way to repost them after I canceled their order. Seems like same bad scenarios just for new bad reasons. If anyone knows that eBay is figuring out a way to keep bots and bot chat off here I may be interested in using it again but seems still not worth it as of now.

How do you know a bot bought 2 of your items?
Do these bots have a name and physical address or did the order details just say "bot"?
Even if 2 bots DID in fact buy your items and you cancelled the sales, it's super easy to relist them.

@chred24 : Why would you do that? (...and not that it matters, but what leads you to think that your items were bought and presumably paid for by silicone-based buyers instead of carbon-based?)

Bots absolutely CAN buy and pay for items. It happens in the CPU category all the time. List a desirable part below a certain price threshold and it will be bought and paid for within seconds of listing. The buyer will likely be using a forwarder in OR, DE or FL.

So it's a human being buying the item, just having a bot doing the bidding/buying for him?

It was bought and never paid and it had me text a number in Texas acting like they had questions about the products. through text it was obvious it was not a human. Blocked number and when I checked on my laptop eBay had already canceled the purchase. No direct way to repost the listing since eBay canceled the buyer but not the purchase.

not easy to relist if eBay kicked them off and then makes me cancel the order. Would have to relist from scratch.

bought but didn't pay. Had me text to ask questions about the products and was definitely not a human. couldn't tell me what the product was and couldn't curse. haha
