Taxes

First year of selling majorly, have a quick question. Just received my tax form, and was wondering where I can find what I’ve spent on shipping through eBay. I feel the numbers on taxes are not including that. If someone could help I’d appreciate that greatly.

thanks

Re: Taxes

You can find your shipping fees paid in your monthly statements.

Re: Taxes

EBAY has new "easy to read" 1-page report that shows YTD totals for (orders, refunds, EBAY fees, SHIPPING).  Go to PAYMENTS, REPORTS (click on "REPORTS (NEW").   Enter time period 1/1/2022   12/31/2022.

Re: Taxes

@caldreamer

I have followed those directions several times in the last couple weeks, and I get no reports with totals at all. In fact, I get long a list of numbers that are absolutely useless.

I know it’s a lot to ask, but if you had the time, could you please provide a screenshot of what you see, all those totals, with all the amounts blanked out, of course.

Re: Taxes

You can get the figure from a lot of different places...

This is quick and easy for me.....

https://www.ebay.com/sh/performance/sales

set the time frame for the period you want....click generate.....

scroll down to this section (Selling costs) and this shows all the labels purchased from ebay labels only

Re: Taxes

If you are talking about your 1099-K, that will not include any shipping you purchased. It only includes money you received, not money you spent.
