I grew up with the Kennedy’s on the island of Martha's vineyard. Yes we were poor but I was lucky enough to get cast in the jaws movie. I witness a lot of corruption from the Kennedy camp. Then came along the Obama administration taxing all Sellers after 20k. Now here we are as your costumers get taxed on every purchase. eBay sneaks that tax in after the purchase commitment is made.  If you haven’t noticed already your sale plummeting to nothing, then you will soon. You will all never learn!!!

Are you speaking of the buyer's state and local sales tax?

Ebay is not sneaking in behind every transaction to dishonestly add tax to it. It has nothing to do with eBay. It is our state and federal government adding the tax. It is the law. Ebay collects it on the seller’s behalf and remits it to the government.

The 1099-K is an informational form, and it did not impose a new tax. 

All it did was help enforce the existing tax by making it slightly more work to cheat.
