Oh, tis so much easier to ask here than to actually read instructions...insert devil emoji
Seriously, I can't know how it's going to work until I try it and then it's a mess if it doesn't work as I want due to problems I've read here since the improvements (sarcasm) were made.
I'm going to run a big sale through Thanksgiving until, oh, Monday night or so. Of course, I have items ending in that time period and would relist and add to the sale.
Aha, therein lies the rub. Will I have to do separate MM's every time I add a batch of relists? Is it possible to add items to a current sale? Is that any easier or worse than it used to be?
I also have listings ending tomorrow which I will of course have to end probably tonight so I'm not sitting here with the houseful of company trying to figure this all out. Haven't looked, but probably have current listings ending sooner than the MM rules allow. Or is that rule still there? I know I'll have to end some early to get them in the sale (and believe me I'll check to see if anyone has sent a message about a listing I'm going to end - another time consuming royal pita).
I promise I'll look at this as soon as I roller up every loooooong cat hair from everywhere in the home because of the visiting oldest daughter's declaration that she is allergic to cats. Since when ?? her mother wants to know. Sheesh.
Thanks and hugs and kisses. All problems people have experienced using MM will be helpful. I need to get in and out of this grand plan of mine quickly. I felt an exhilirating rush of freedom the other day when I did my last "real" new listings; not just relists. No more until 2018.

It's 'similar' to previous, yet a bit different. First, you set the percentage under 'discount + sale event' or just 'sale'. The discount + sale will place the red strike through line in your listings like old MM. If you select only sale, to my understanding, your items simply go on sale, no red strike through.
Then, on the next page, you will select items individually (only up to 500 total), or you can 'set rules' (which will pull any items based on categories), up to 10,000 items. When you use the 'set rules', any new listings will then be added to the sale also, as they are listed.
Then, on the next page, you choose the duration, name the sale, etc.
The biggest change is the limit on the 500 if you don't want new items added, and that if you choose 'rules' (select items by category), the new MM also puts newly listed items on sale right away (well, within an hour or so).

Thanks to all of you !! I want to get this set up tomorrow before the hordes descend and I won't be able to get back to it until Sunday evening. I knew when I was doing some relists 29 days ago that oops, they'd end right before Thanksgiving.
Since most of my listings right now are holiday items, I want to make sure they are all included.
The good news ?? My son in law is doing the cooking.
