The last week has been a nightmare. From roughly 5-600 a week to below $200! Just look at that graph...it's amazing. Those who post slow sales posts, just know you're not alone. Best of luck to everyone out there dealing with this...but this is just dreadful!
95% of inventory on sale with lowered prices this week, and sales just plummet. Also sales got much worse at the start of 7 days ago when i changed everything to 60 day returns...not sure if that's related, just odd.
Went through some of my inventory to make sure most was still listed and no glitches happened. Went through 30 pairs of heels and shoes and 10 PAIRS were no longer active or able to find ANYWHERE! Very confused on how listings just DISAPPEAR out of nowhere. And that was only the shoes i checked! I still have hundreds and hundreds of other items to check.

I'm also going to include listing impressions 2 years ago...with less inventory. And listing impressions this year with my inventory.
Impressions 2 years ago were 3X as high, and that was even down 15% from previous year! AKA each year impressions are getting lower...and lower.

I too feel your pain. It's scary to have all this cash tied up in inventory that is not turning over 😞

Sorry hones - I had a few days like that last week - but yesterday was wonderful. I'd get one item pacjaged and have another sale. Have 12 auctions with bids that are pretty good - even tho I started them at $1.99 just to clear out some old inventory. Hoping that this continues for the weekend!
Best to you!! I'm sure it will pick up!

Yes, I think it's important to always throw in a few auctions. I think that is the only way to guarantee your listings will be seen. I changed all my fixed price to auctions last month and sold over 10%, without lowering any prices.

Do you find you have any luck in general selling smaller sizes? I cant GIVE them away and I have several of the exact items you have that sold out immediately (of course mine were 14-20w and XXL). I took my sweaters out of circulation and held off on the coat and the boots I was going to list. It just wasnt the right season.

Some people have more luck selling the smaller sizes - but the buyers on Ebay tend to be older and as we age many of us tend to put on weight - thus the bigger sizes selling. Small sizes do well on the other venues geared more towards the younger buyers who want trendy clothes. Even mall brands sell there as long as they come from collections from the past couple of seasons and aren't too old.

It's the worst HUGE SALES LOSS or DROP on ebay I have ever seen in many years. I have a idea what's causing it, ebay has implemented various BIG changes to the ebay site in past year or so, it appears ebay is trying to more competitive to Amazon, but in the end ebay sellers suffer a huge sales drop as a result with the changes that have been made, and for some reason not be able to forsee that. I have tried communicating this to ebay numerous times and suggested that ebay offer free promo listing offers for several days to all ebay sellers to offset this HUGE SALES LOSS, I have found is the only way to regain some sales when they are down like they are is to list more items, the problem is sellers can't afford to pay for more lsitings when they don't have any sales. That's the reason ebay sellers should suggest or request that ebay offer the Free listings promo now and everyone will get a chance to list more items to offset the HUGE SALES LOSS.

That's very true. Last March, changed my fixed price to auction and sold all of them successfully.

Traffic...Traffic...Traffic
ebay missed their 1st quarter nut...lower traffic=lower sales.
You can't "impress" somebody who's not on site.
Offering coupons (e.g., today's 15% off) INSIDE the site is almost useless for generating traffic...and if your item is under $50, it's totally useless.
Did buyers who bought in the last 30 days get an e-mail touting the coupon?
I get messages to lower prices of items sitting in peoples carts. Can anyone confirm if they send messages to those same people saying to use a coupon being offered to what is in the cart?

Hi, sorry to hear about your sales downturn. I looked at your listings and your information in them looks very good. I did have a couple of thoughts.
One is that at your price points, i would rethink having Best Offer available, especially on items under $10. Your pricing is already very lean, and you are lowering your profits even more by telling potential buyers you’re willing to take even less. Pricing strategy is a strange animal sometimes, too low of a price can sometimes turn off a buyer like too high of a price.
Another thought is there may be potential savings to you in PayPal fees with their Micropayment account, link below, if you haven’t heard about it. (In the US, the fee is 5 cents and 5% of the transaction price.)
Good luck to you and hoping things pick up for you soon.
