Hello ;
I sold out one item on Ebay when payment is received I got shocked to receive less payment from Ebay . The selling fees 12.9 % has deducted selling from total amount including tax and shipping cost not from actual selling price of item . The Tax paid amount is not mine it is property of IRS has to submit by Ebay and shipping cost amount also not mine has to pay to courier service company . Due to unfair deduction of Ebay I paid selling fees 14% to Ebay not 12.9 % to . Please Ebay management deduct your selling fees from the actual selling price of item not from total amount

eBay's fees are spelled out here:

This has been brought up many, many times. Ebay will not change it so you'd best figure it into your business plan.
If ebay did relent on this issue, ebay would compensate by making the FVF 14% or more.

Hi @nakhtarsyed ,
We get a lot of posts like that from new Sellers ... below is a link to the eBay Selling Fees which you may find helpful ... unfortunately, eBay will not be eliminating fees from what they already charge them on AND sadly, the registration process could do a better job of putting the Selling Fees right up front for new members to see before they list their fist item ...

fees are clearly stated by eBay before we sell.
tax goes to the state, not IRS
I find my fees to be basically the same with eBay/MP as they would be with eBay/PP

All of this information is in the Selling information.
No need to be "shocked" if you had read all the selling information.
eBay is not here. This is all sellers and buyer.
Stating it is not fair will not get eBay to make any changes.
The tax paid amount is the property of the state the buyer had the item shipped, not the IRS.

It's not an "unfair deduction" at all. It's Final Value Fees on Item + s&h + sales tax + $.30 Transaction Fee... all in the TOS.

sales Tax is not coming in selling pocket as well shipping cost these amounts are not selling so why seller pay fees on these amount.

Look at it this way, they can remove tax and shipping from total FVF, but then they can increase FVF to 15%. 😊

because that is the way eBay has set up the simplified fees.
shipping.
I sell for $100 with shipping included.
Someone else sells for $1, and $99 shipping.
Who should pay more in fees?
Sellers used that high shipping ploy to evade fees. eBay took action to eliminate it.

The fee is based on the total amount the buyer pays, regardless of whose pocket it ultimately goes into.
You need to take into account the fees you will owe when you determine whether it is worth it to sell an item on eBay.

but ebay has to "handle" the sales tax.........make the program, send it to the state, and revise when necessary........that part of the fee is for services rendered......that's the way I look at it...

Ive been a member since the beginning, and I am not a new seller. Its been a while since Ive sold something, but was shocked also. I am done with Ebay now, as many others will likely leave as well. That is a ridiculous amount to be charged. Facebook is cheaper, and getting bigger, so I see the demise of this coming soon anyway.

You are way off. The sales tax eBay collects goes to the buyer's state and does not belong to the IRS.
SIgning the user agreement means you agree to the fees when you sell.
Why would you agree to them and then complain about them?

"I am done with Ebay now, as many others will likely leave as well" and ". . . I see the demise of this [eBay] coming soon anyway."
It's OK if you leave eBay as a seller and/or buyer. Many others are joining every day.
If you sell in one of my selling ID's categories, I am not particularly sad to see you leave: more potential buyers for me. And people have been predicting the demise of eBay for a good 19-20 years or so. [Yawn!]
As for the OP: Thousands upon thousands of other sellers accept eBay's fee on 12.9% on the Final Value as "fair." Those buyers understand eBay's definition of Final Value -- you know, the number that is subject to a 12.9% fee. That number includes the cost of the item plus shipping, if applicable, plus sales taxes, if applicable.
If you don't think eBay's 12.9% Final Value Fee is fair, that's your own decision. Nobody requires you to try to sell on eBay. And again, if you sell in my categories, hasta la vista.
