TRS status please explain

So can someone explain how the TRS status thing works and why it is worth it? I have been selling with 100% percent good feedback (274 count) and I think I've met all the other requirements, 30 day returns, 1 day handling. So what do I have to do to get the TRS? Someone said it would be automatically offerred to me after so many sales? Well, it wasn't. Do you apply for it? I have over 100 transactions in last year, over $1,000 in sales, above standard selling level so what gives? Do they still give the 10% discount for FVF to TRS?

Well the tracking upload requirement is only based on the prior 3 month period so it won't be too hard to get if ya stop mailing without tracking Smiley Happy

You would have been good prior to the latest update - it used to be 90%, then they changed it to 95%.

 

So deending on your volume, you COULD get away with one or so every month, but that doesn't leave much room for error.

 

The best solution, as said above, is to open a 2nd account if you are sending stuff in plain white  envelopes. I assume that those items are cheap, so you could tie a PP micropayment account to that and save even more. Then you wouldn't have to worry about losing TRS on this account(once you gain it).

I'm just blown away by this information. Somehow I got it in my head that I had to have 30 day returns and 1 day handling. I'm sure I read it somewhere (maybe on these boards). Why would anyone do this otherwise? Both are such a headache with no reward.

Those things are only needed for the 10% discount.

That would be the main reason to go for TRS status? Or at least that's what I think.
