TRADING CARD SELLING CATEGORIES

I've been on eBay for 20+ years.  Some time ago, the trading card categores were ALL COMBINED into one.  Now ebay has automatically re-assigned all my listings to a "new" more specific category, which will require a re-do of every listing because the choices are now different.  REALLY dumb change.

Also decades using eBay.  Cannot believe this category change!  It really changes my systems and is now so time consuming that I literally think I'm going to stop collecting until they put the old categories back.  eBay nearly has a monopoly on sports cards...they need to be very cautious about making changes.  So many collectors have built businesses and systems on the platform.  A change this major was a bad, bad move!

Thank you for reaching out to us about the recent changes in the Sports Trading Cards. We're sorry to hear that you have had a frustrating experience as a result of the category changes. Sport-based categories for cards and etopps cards have been deprecated and replaced by product-type based categories. The categories will be replaced with item specifics and left-hand navigation refinements for Sport. Categories were added for Single Cards, Sealed Cards, Lots & Sets, Breaks, Uncut Sheets & Grading Tools among others.

As the category changes roll out there will be some fluctuation in the item specifics and left-hand navigation filters. This should settle down in the next days. We apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.

How incompetent can Ebay be?

All my sportscards were in there correct categories...

Ebay decides to throw em all together...

so i gotta go through and add all these stupid item specifics so customers can find my product...

THEN EBAY SWITCHES BACK to the categories - leaving much of my stock INCORRECTLY CATEGORIZED!

All my lots are under singles...

So now i gotta go back AGAIN and adjust all my listings to the correct categories..

Oh, and when you switch the category - IT ERASES ALL THE ITEM SPECIFICS!

I mean, my god... you couldnt make this stuff up!

Ebay just has ZERO RESPECT for its sellers time...

How does a multimillion dollar company operate so poorly?

Everything they change or touch - just screws things up!

So freaking frustrating!

I'd like to be listing next - but i guess I'll be fixing my existing listings - AGAIN!
