Please, report here if you recently within a week or so experienced sudden drop in sales. We can then ask Velvet to pass it on to technical team for review of the accounts. https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Updates-are-happening-to-some-item-specifics-and-category/m-p/...

Yeap my sales have CRATERED as well. Of course Ebay takes ZERO accountability for this. Says it has nothing to do with the changes with Bots , it’s summer or I do t have free shipping blah blah blah . I am reminded of the old saying “ Don’t P@ss on my shoes and tell me it’s raining “ You can add my name to the ever growing list. Ebay can’t be this blind can they . Oh wait yes they can.

I totally agree with you on the coding error or at least the issue must be something along those lines. You sound like u know what your talking about so we nominate u 2 at least run this by them. lol Just kid'n but I do agree with you. I do think eBay is reading and hearing enough chatter on this very serious problem that they will get it worked out, the ? is just when?

A lot of people are assuming it is an Ebay problem, and some of the changes they make can make a little impact sometimes. But the real reason there is a drop is simply that people just do not have the cash to shop.
A person only has a finite amount of money to spend. When gas prices are $5/gal and food prices are seeing huge increases, people just dont have as much extra to spend on baseball cards, video games, or verified authentic photos of Sasquatch.
It is not just an Ebay issue. Amazons most recent quarter report the had a sales drop of 8 BILLION dollars compared to same quarter 2021. So we are just at a point where people are being careful of what they spend right now.
If you want to get your sales to pickup, just fill some milk jugs with gasoline and sell for $2.00 a gallon..you should see some instantaneous sales increases.

I have been selling on eBay for 25 years. Top Rated/Silver Power Seller/100% feedback/Five stars across the board. In late April or early May, it was like someone threw a switch. Prior to that, sales were so good that I had to get extra inventory to keep up. Then it all stopped. May was awful. June is a disaster. I was selling on eBay through the slowdowns after 9/11 and the recession of 2008-2010. Business then was brisk compared to now. My sales for the last 31 days are down by 73.6%, according to the graph in My eBay. My sales via Promoted Listings are down 93.1%. I have called eBay and they say nothing's wrong with my account or the platform. I know inflation is a problem but not even inflation can account for the alarming state of things right now.

My sales are usually awesome and working for time it was hard to keep up with shipping, sales have dropped so low it's down right sad, with the fees that ebay takes and paying for promotions to get almost zero views, it may be time to look elsewhere. Ebay's changes recently with viewing stats ect have killed my sales or just a giant coincidence either way, the fees sucks, the support usually sucks, promoting something that they are selling for me sucks and most of all not selling sucks, having to pay a fairly large portion to ebay for a sale isn't bad if they were getting the views that they used to

sudden drop - down 70%

Last year, I was working 24/7 just to keep up with sales.
This year, I could go on vacation and not put my store on hold and it wouldn't make a difference at all.
Sales are down over 70%.
Only good thing is now I know it's not just me.

I was averaging a sale a day and now nothing. What is going on?

Very true as well, however even in ruff times, during covid, the views and watch count worked!
The system is broken! They need to fix it, and we shall see if sales return to a somewhat normal?
Ironically we did huge sales during the first three months of the Covid lock down! It was
amazing sales! I guess the buyers thought; “Heck I might die from Covid so why not get
a few more buys in before I go!” For collectibles perhaps the commons have been drained!
The closets emptied – the second hand stores, yard sales, estate sales have nothing of any
value left? We sellers have said this for years! When the baby boomers start to die off,
that will be the next big wave of collectibles – but will the next generation care? Could be
a buyers market. Stay Tuned!

I have an idea, here is a link to an item that should have views & watchers, right now it's at ZERO
for both? So everybody who reads this go to my listing and watch it, and in a few days I will report back. We shall see if the system is broken:
My Item to watch:

Yup, I've been selling on eBay for years, and as of last month, sales tanked in a big bad way and have not recovered. I feel like I'm dying on the vine ...

If anyone is still counting or collecting names...my sales and views dropped off a cliff back in April and have been terrible since. Tried contacting ebay back at the time but got nowhere. I get small bursts of a sale or two now and then, but can easily go 5-6 days frequently w/o a single sale. The several years up to that point it was rare to go more than 1-2 days w/o a sale.

You can add me to the list.

I had a sudden drop for a few weeks straight in June....hopefully it will pick back up for people shopping for back to school.

My Sales Watchers and even Lookers have dropped way way off. I have 100% customer satisfaction and I have been a member since the 80s. I don't sell a lot but I value eBay couldn't help but notice how bad it is.
